Lantz Cellars — Attraction in Snohomish

What a delightful find. This lovely winery in Lake Stevens was a perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon. The staff was welcoming and friendly, they quickly got us started with the first of 13! tastes. They have a lovely outdoor area with chairs, tables and umbrellas. We didn’t even have to go inside when we were ready to try the next wine. The staff (Jackie we loved you) kept track of what we had coming next and came out to us, with the wine and the description. Honestly, I’ve been to tons of wineries over the years, and this was a first for me. Oh, did I mention, there is no fee for the tasting! What??!! When has that ever happened?? Lantz cellars has some great Red Wines. They certainly are an up and coming boutique producer of great Northwest wines. Sourcing from the Yakima AVA, they are making some remarkable reds and red blends. These are bold, fruity, flavorful wines with great palate appeal, wonderful nose, nice finishes. Check their website or call for tasting room hours, they arent open weekly, just about once a month. These wines are certainly worth the trip to South Lake Steven's. Great Wines, even better people. So here's the deal I don't usually write reviews but we went here for a wine tasting and the people were very friendly and informative. The wine was really top shelf. We left with two bottles of Port. Unfortunately the 2015 bottle fell out of the car an busted on the ground. :( Seriously, and 1/2 jokingly the wine maker told us don't worry the bottle comes with insurance. He gave us another bottle at no charge. Super awesome experience....
