July12,2024.We stayed two nights This campground next to the Kenai River is very large. It can accommodate both Type A and Type B trailers. It has a beautiful environment and complete facilities. It has water and electricity. Each vehicle costs $30 per night. It's great for people who like salmon fishing. It takes two minutes to walk to the river. The water is clean and there are dedicated stairs to enter the river. The river is very fast, so be careful when fishing here and pay attention to safety👍👍👍

This spot is beautiful for fishing, but the running of the park is very confusing. We found out that we were double charged after the first week of paying for the car AND the RV which was kind of a bummer. We finally found a camping spot after the weekend, and were able to move from the overflow parking lot (same price and very tight) to the actual site. Overall, great memories were made!

The closeness to Soldotna, the great parking for boat trailers as well as the access to the Kenai river and the lengthy shore for fishing makes this a great place. The camping spots are spacious and the host friendly and helpful. A great place to spend a couple of days while touring the area and visiting the Kenai Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center and fishing for salmon in the Kenai river.

Horrible Camp hosts on golf cart. We were visiting from NC and dropped our husbands off at the boat launch to meet their fishing guide. We stated at the front entry, that we would be coming back out to explore town while they were fishing. She informed us that we didn’t need a day pass since we were coming right back out. We were bombarded by the “Camp Host Karen” and her husband on a golf cart within 3 minutes of pulling up to the boat launch. They blocked us in with their golf cart and treated us as if we were criminals. I have never seen anybody more desperate for $20 in my life. We refused to pay to just drop them off. When we left, we were informed by the lady at the front desk that they are strictly volunteers and they were very sorry for them...

City of Soldotna are crooks. Don't go here, and don't support their tourism industry. I was charged for a day pass every time I came into this campground, during the same day (total of three times). When asked, the attendant stated that the day passes are only good for a few hours each.

I strongly suggest (and I'll be doing the same), that for subsequent salmon seasons, I'll be going to places where the name of the game is NOT to rip off out of towners. Skip Soldotna and Kenai. Both these places are notorious for their Dipnet season highway robbery. Go to the other Dipnet fisheries. Screw these people, and the voters who...
