The ladies who give the tours are so engaging, fun to listen to and full of great knowledge. We had so much fun. The grounds and historical cabins are well kept and fun to tour. They have great activities for kids to. Like a scavenger hunt and worksheet about the tour.

Representing the peninsulas earliest community. No charge for a guided tour but accepts donations, has 6 buildings. Cabins built in 1947 and the school in 1958 and damon hall is the natural history collection area built in 1967. Each catagorised museums represent their own actual time and historical event. Nothing was here until the homestead federal program arrived here in 1947. Its a great place. Has a kind friendly guid whos happy to answer all quetions. Have fun bring family...

It is a must-see place when you are in Soldotna. It was very interesting to speak with the museum guide, Jacob, who grew up nearby and has extensive knowledge of local history and life in this part of the world. The museum has a historic log village and a peculiar collection of...
