The meal was an embarrassment. It was a seafood boil and we were told there was a half pound each of shrimp, king crab, clams plus other foods in a low country boil. Not true. The quality was horrible. Alaska has awesome and distinctive shrimp. These were not Alaska shrimp, meaning they came from the freezer truck. The crab was mostly tasteless and tiny pieces. The clams were the smallest Iāve ever seen (and in my opinion weāre actually tiny mussels) and not all were even open, meaning they were bad - yet served anyway. The corn was tough, watery, and inedible- even though well priced fresh corn is now in the supermarkets - again our served corn came from the freezer truck. There was no side salad, no bread, and the condiments did not include melted butter, although we were given wrapped butter pats for ādippingā. The ambiance was nothing like the online photos. The menu did not resemble the one advertised. The server couldnāt even pronounce the types of wine and knew nothing about items on the menu. When we told her the food wasnāt even average she told us other things on the menu looked amazing and offered dessert. Not an acceptable response. Donāt bother going here. We saw other plates go by to other tables. Nothing looked especially good, let alone amazing. It comes nowhere near the hype. It isnāt worth your time, let alone your money. Alaska is home to the best seafood around - but this restaurant with foods off the freezer truck could be anywhere. And it still wouldnāt be worth it.
Reply : you were misinformed. We left at least half of the tiny mussels, crab, almost all of the soggy corn and all of the potatoes. There were three slices of sausage which we ate. While the shrimp werenāt Alaskan they were ok so we ate the few that were in the dish. If that was an example, we didnāt want anything else from the kitchen. So we told our server,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe best table service experienced thus far [8yrs] on the peninsula. Our server was extremely aware of her tables. We never waited for anything but our food to be cooked. Breakfast was the choice of the day. Eggs & hashbrowns were cooked really well! Definitely excited because that's hard to come by at most local [Breakfast] restaurants. Pancakes were light, fluffy & delicious š [same as eggs, hashbrowns] One complaint: biscuits & gravy š³ This particular dish is one of my favorites at any restaurant, always wanting to try.. This order, however, was absolutely horrible. Have zero idea of what type of gravy was attempted, but failure š very disappointed, because I was looking forward to that dish! We left satisfied, full bellies, & very appreciative of the service we received š. Definitely will be back try different dishes, just not the...
