Pitiful customer service. 11/4/16, Amanda sold me the oil cap, instead of the fuel cap, for my Stihl MS200 chainsaw. I had to drive 10 miles, to discover that it was wrong & another 10 miles, to return the oil cap & get the right fuel cap. While I was there, I asked Amanda to sell me the chain that was designed for my saw & bar. She sold me the 61PMMC3, instead of the 63PMC3. When I got home, I noticed that the cutter top plates, of the 61PMMC3, are smaller, than the 63PMC3, so, I was skeptical. 11/5 (Sat.) I called the shop; got a guy, in back, that didn't know what all the numbers & letters, of the marketing designation, stand for, so, I did some research & found out, since the shop employee didn't offer to do any research, nor did he know if I was sold a proper chain or not. 11/7 (Mon.): I called back & asked to speak with the mgr.; after holding, about, 7 mins., a fellow answered who, when asked, told me his name is Jeff, so, I asked If his last name is Dannemiller; he said: "yes". He didn't know any more than the guy I had talked to on Sat., so, I told him that, not only was the chain, that was sold, to me, for a different bar (one designed for 0.043" drive links, instead of 0.050"), it was designed for a 7-tooth sprocket, instead of my 9-tooth. He didn't apologize, or offer any remorse gift, like a free chain. None, of the 3, seem to care, at all, that I had to do the research, will have to make a 3rd trip, & could've ruined the chain, bar, sprocket & hurt myself, if I had tried to run the chain that was sold to me. After I return the chain, I won't be back & will tell everybody I know, that might care, about how I...
Read moreOn 7/30/24 I picked up my lawn mower from Southport Lawn Equipment after a month of it being in the shop LEAVING MY Z-TURN RIDER FOR PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE, On 7/24/24 I received a call from a technician stating that the lawn mower needed additional services; replace the blades and oxygen sensor. He stated the blades were cracked and unsafe to sharpen. There are several descriptions in my invoice that was supposed to get done but wasn’t completed. For example, clean under deck from the machine, wash unit, tire pressure, clean out fuel tank, clean block & cooling fins. None of these services were performed when I was inspecting it at pick up. I looked under to make sure the blades were replaced, and the old blades were still on it, not even sharped. Then I spoke to the technician that gave me the machine, and he apologized stating that someone else was working on that lawnmower, but then said that they did sharpen the old ones. Which is confusing, because I was told they were unsafe to sharpen. The new blades were just sitting on my lawn mower in a box. I asked him to change them, because I was getting charged for that. I was charged for all these services $635.40, which half of the services were not performed. If you guys take your equipment to this location, be careful, you may be charged for services that you will not receive. I also called the lady from the front desk explaining my situation, she promised to talk to the owner, as of now I haven’t received any phone calls. I will follow up myself, I don’t think this is the right way to...
Read moreIve gone to the store once before (a couple years ago) to buy a weed eater carb adjustment tool. They sold me one, granted at a price double ive seen elsewhere, but I needed it. Today I went today and need another, yet slightly different carb adjustment tool for a different piece of equipment. They told me they couldnt sell it to me because I wasn't certified. I told them I has bought one from them before which they denied, then finally one of the guys told me that they did use to sell them. I have worked on my own vehicle since i was 14, worked on private jets and commercial aircraft for a few years after 2 years of university and 'certification' and moved on to work on passenger trains which I do currently. I just smiled and walked out. I hope ebay/amazon ruin their parts sales. These guys are of very little use to me. I wouldn't be sad if they went under. You need to work with your customers in the age of the internet, not switch stories and tick them off! Im glad Im in good company on this review board.
Signed- The guy with two mechanical degrees and 15 years of experience in many fields, yet deemed too stupid from a parts monkey to fix a 2-stroke...
