I was not present for his visit to my home. I became aware that there was not an estate sale at my home after I left as ordered by the court so I had to call Christie's a number of times to find out what happened. The owner returned 1 phone call but ignored the others. He finally said he came to my home upon invitation by my ex husband but that "there wasn't anything in there but junk" He said he "did see a sewing machine". It was actually a Husqvarna Viking Designer I expensive embroidery machine with all hoops, attachments & accessories including hundreds of designs on floppy disc ready to stitch. I left many many treasures behind including items bought at Christie's Antiques over the years & a garage full of brand new yard tools, my grandpa first electric marble lamp, a shed full of deck items, a brand new Bose audio system. The owner hung up on me several times angry & said he had nothing to do with the situation. I explained the domestic violence situation that prompted an estate sale as a court order. He did not care that he was aiding a wrong doing, he was angry and provided no assistance or documentation of his visit to my home that had over 30 years of cherished memories I was forced to leave behind. I left my home clean, orderly & prepared for an estate sale, items worthy of sale were laid out throughout my home. I have had the pleasure of working with Christy's two different times. I live out of town and have worked for an auction company for 13 years. I am very involved and have many duties within the job that I handle on a daily basis. With that being said, I am aware of how things work with this type of business.

When my aunt found herself in a nursing home, she needed help selling her home and personal property. I called Christy's to help since I live 3 hours from Indy, it would just not be feasible for the company that I work for to handle the sale. I can't begin to express how helpful Lisa was with every aspect of this sale. She went above and beyond to make sure the place was in the best shape it could be to get it ready to show. It sold very soon and my aunt was very pleased with the outcome.

My second opportunity to work with Christy's was when my mother passed away, who also lived in Indianapolis. We needed to sell my mother's personal property. Once again, we contacted Christy's to help. Jack and Lisa were extremely helpful in preparing to go to auction with my mothers things. They were very professional, answered all our questions and could not have been more helpful with anything we needed. We cannot recommend them highly enough!
