A lovely spot in the Southwest Harbor. This was on on our way to the Bass Harbor Lighthouse/Ship Harbor trail in Acadia (the drive took us right by). So glad to have found this incredibly beautiful spot!
The gardens are just gorgeous! We visited in early September. Among the many plants in bloom were zinnia, cosmo, sedum, salvia, echinacea, phlox, marigold & much more. Each plant is clearly labeled with the name/variety. They do a wonderful job keeping the gardens and property pristine. We saw several butterflies, which was lovely!
Beyond the butterflies and flowers is a beautiful grassy park area with benches and picnic tabes — it wonderful view of the water. A great place for a picnic or to just sit and relax among the beauty of the flowers and view.

The lawn is nicely mowed and they even have a swing set and slide for kids 6 years and under in the garden overlooking the ocean. There are places to sit and chill and while there is no fee for entry, they accept monetary donations of ur choice in a bin at the entry pavilion.
