Meristem — Local services in Southwest Harbor

I’m a New Jersey resident visiting Maine for a week for spring break. I’ve been consuming cannabis products for years and I’m pretty familiar with popular premium brands in jersey. Came to Maine because my childhood friend would always bring back awesome quality bud and blow my mind. This was my chance to experience it for myself. Keyword here is experience, when I first walked in I was greeted by Jillian with a warm welcome. Then frank came out and absolutely rocked my world with his deep insight and knowledge about everything. I shot 20-30 questions in my excitement at seeing all the different options/strains/products, he’s shared personal experiences and backed it all up with the science behind it. My time here is limited to 1 week and after visiting the first day of my stay in Maine I can already say with certainty that I will be visiting at least 2 more times before I leave. Genuinely the best dispensary experience I’ve ever had. I left feeling ECSTATIC I was so happy with my purchase but even more so the customer service that was delivered, it was on par with nothing I experienced before.

There’s a negative review here calling out pricing. Every penny you spend here is well worth and if you think otherwise go to Jersey and look at their “top quality” eighth priced at $80-$90. I was able to pick up amazing quality top shelf bud for $50 seriously that previous 3 star review is bogus. Passion, knowledge, and compassion for every customer is definitely top priority here. The associates are extremely friendly and nice. They were very knowledgeable too. I will say I was a little disappointed that there is no up to date menu online to be able to see what is available without actually going to the store. After living in Humboldt County CA It should be a regular thing that all shops adopt. Just so that customers don’t show up and not know that what they want isn’t there. Especially since this is like the only recreational dispensary on the island. It’s a monopoly on the recreational side of things here on MDI and so the prices are pretty expensive. I wish some competition would join the island to bring prices down. I get it, you gotta make money but at what point is it just taking advantage that you are the only rec dispensary within an hour of the island. I bought 2 joints and a cart and it was $70. Where when I was in CA I was able to get multiple carts and definitely more than 2 joints for $70. I recommend these guys to any tourists that ask and are looking for something because they are the only rec dispo on the island. During my 3 months working in Maine, I chose to check out Meristem for three reasons:

➡️1. It’s the only dispensary within 30 min drive of my location that sold greens without the need for a medical card. ➡️2. The guys working the store were super knowledgeable and helpful in describing the selection they have and recommended some great product! NOTE: the options change weekly due to availability but the selections they offer were pretty awesome and did not disappoint. ➡️3. The quality was so good I made sure to stock pile before I head back to New York with it’s poor and overpriced selections. The price is right at Meristem even with the 10% tax it is considerably cheaper than buying in NY or even Chicago, in my personal experience. ❗️Remember, it’s cash only! There is a local bank in the same parking lot as Meristem so if you need to get cash on the premises it‘s super convenient. ❗️Check the weekly schedule, they are not open every day of the week.

Last of all, I just loved riding out to Meristem on my Vespa! Such a beautiful part of Maine and even more enjoyable to ride back home on a nice high off of some Cookies and Cream....
