Smitty's Marina — Attraction in Speers

I was sceptical at first as I am with all sales folks. I have shopped around at multiple marinas on the east coast. Who would have known the best was close to home. Karl and Dan are a great team and know all sorts of boats well. There are minimal jet boat dealers in the north east and even fewer that sell Vortex Jet boats. These guys know them in and out,offer a fair, price and treat their customers as a priority. If I had any advice for people especially new boaters that are looking to get into a family safe super fast boats, that' are great for watersports come see Karl/Dan they will take care of all your needs. The chaparral line of stern drive and jet boats have been refined over the years and offer top knotch quality and service. In addition to having the boat dock and Marina store, Smitty's also has a restaurant and bar with good prices and good food. The menu is limited, but still has something for everyone. You can choose to sit inside or outside at one of their many tables on their deck right on the Monongahela River. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the portions are large. Although it's politically incorrect, I personally enjoyed the fact that when dining or having your drinks outside smoking is permitted. I have since returned to Smitty's twice, and plan to go again. On my most recent visit a couple of weeks ago, I and my guess not only had the pleasure of meeting the owner, but I enjoyed one of the best burgers I have ever eaten, and trust me (lol) I'm eating a lot...

We originally stopped here to try the Speer Street Grill, but ended up at Smitty's after we found a place to park the camper. No regrets- the food was terrific and the deck overlooking the marina was gorgeous. I had the grilled salmon salad and my husband had the Philly Cheesesteak with an order of wings and chicken fingers for the kids. The servers and other diners alike were so friendly. It was the perfect dinner stop for us and our three kids, all under six. The kids enjoyed watching the large fish swim below on the marina, occasionally eating French fries.
