Hy-Vee Pharmacy — Attraction in Spring Lake Park

I don't know what their policy is for using certain size bottles for certain prescription amounts, but there is NO consistency. One time I'll get a 90 day supply that fits in a smallish bottle just fine and then the next time it will be in this bottle that is 5-6 times larger than the prescription amount and only fills the bottle a tiny bit and is the same as what I get for much larger amounts.

I tend to know my meds by the containers they are in and there is no consistency whatsoever from fill to fill. I have never experienced this with any other pharmacy in my life.

Also, they have these giant plastic bags with large pieces of paper, where other pharmacies use bags that are applicable to the prescription amount. Other pharmacies either have a QR code to get the pill information or do not include a ream of paper for each prescription, or have much smaller paper/information printers that reduce the size and amount of info that is included with each prescription. If I pick up several prescriptions, I almost need a shopping bag just to carry those.

Seems like they are several years behind in their packaging standards as well as policies for consistent prescription-to-bottle usage...

I can't complain about the service or notification services, as they are great, but the end experience of just picking up prescriptions needs some catching up...

The spring lake pharmacy is beyond frustrating.

Multiple times, I've been told my medicine is in stock, but I need a refill prescription from my doctor, totally fair. I'm told they'll send it in, they never do. So I do it myself, then I call back in to ask if it was received. Only to be told that oh sorry we're out and won't have any for 2+ days.

There's zero accountability, I've even asked, "okay did you run out in the last 24 hours what happened?" and it's always an "oh the other person you spoke to must've been mistaken"

What's more the team sounds like a bunch of brain dead zombies, it amazes me the lack of bedside manners.

The level of incompetence is truly something...
