Although I am not able to come very frequently because of my distance away from the church, I believe that this church is close to perfect! The staff guide you through every step of the way especially if you're new. I love how the first day that I was there, i didn't feel like the new kid but i felt like a regular member. The people there that I have met were very nice & I was really never lonely because of the people who warmly accompanied me. Also, they have a very good ministry. Throughout the entire day at Champions Forest Baptist church you will feel connected to god more than you have ever been before (for me). I love the way that the building(s) are separated and made so that everyone is put accordingly to where they fit in, & with their many fantastic christian-like events you'll love the church even more! Overall I would like to say whether you're far or near in distance of this church I would recommend that you attend to experience god in a whole new way.
P.S. This is based off of an experience with only being there for not even a year, This church is flabbergastingly...
Read moreThe people there in the church seem to be very nice, but that is the people and not the pastor. On stage he is very friendly and funny, now he does keep you interested. I'm sorry if I am wrong but a Doctor, no I can not except that, as with all doctor's there is no time for the people of a one on one and I find that to be disturbing. When growing up the pastors of the Baptist church's that I have attended were very people orientated where as for the pastor at this church is so involved with the act of making money that there is no time to meet and greet the people that attend the church and to me that is not accepted. The church is a very nice looking church I should know I help build it years ago when it was being built, but that is another story and not much of one. I like the Church I just don't like the ways of the church. I think it is just to big for me that's all and I do not think I will ever get to meet the man behind the podium. But I must say that the church does make a...
Read moreI have visited this church several times since the 1970’s and enjoyed it. As a long time member of First Baptist Houston (50+ years), it seemed very similar and at home. Considered joining this church after moving back to Tomball area.
We even volunteered several times (4 +) at their food pantry. The last time, we were not allowed to help anyone, were told to sit down and draw pictures and verses on paper bags. When we finished, they found more bags and we were told to sit down, be quiet and decorate bags.
A woman (Carolyn?) even grabbed my arm and forcefully led me back to a table. IF they had a problem with me or my Special Needs sister, they should have spoken to us about it. We would have changed or volunteered somewhere else.
Needless to say, we will never join this church as we are not comfortable with backstabbing people we were met with. We still do not know what we did to offend this person or persons but there was certainly no Christian compassion or...
