When we were kids (8-12) back in the 60's, we would ride our bikes from Yorkshire to play in the creek. It was quite a ride. No main roads, just two lane back roads with one huge hill to climb on the way home. The creek then was lined with corn fields on eather side and it was a hike from the road to get to favorite our spot of the creek. There we would catch crawfish, minnows and the occasional snake. Zooming in on Goggle Earth and the photos from some of you here, I can recognize the larger rocks we would build dams around to create a pond to sail our toy boats on.
