Can't speak for an experience being a customer, but as a former employee I may. Allow me to depict my experience. Dawn is the kindest boss lady you could ever have, only downfall is she's Donna's assistant. Now Donna on the other hand, wears her emotions on her sleeve. One minute she's as nice as can be (during my interview, I thought she was the coolest down to earth boss you could get. Oh, how wrong I was.), the next minute she's a nightmare. Not the most professional boss I've had, she struggles to leave her personal life and feelings at home. Not only does her son-in-law work there, she frequent brings her (what I assume) grand-daughter to work in order to be picked up by her father. You may ask, what could be the big deal? Well see during your probationary period, consisting of ninety days, your allowed 2 point and 2 schedule days off. Also I learned if you forget to clock in, don't! You will receive half a point, when if you tell them you forgot to punch in you won't get any points. Seem fair? One day, when Donna first arrived to work, she asked if I would stay late so she could run back home because her grand daughter forgot her stuffed animal at home/ in the driveway. When Donna left maple donuts, to head home and grab the toy her grand daughter forgot, do you believe she received a point? Or do not the same standards apply to bosses? I always expect the standards to be higher. I'm gonna end here for now, and we haven't even got into how they reuse old glazed donut in fresh batter to make new donuts. Day old donuts = fresh...

This is what I wrote directly to Maple Donuts 2 weeks ago, and have not heard anything back.
I'm a new resident of York, PA and I've eaten your donuts which are very good, but I would be remiss, if I didn't speak up about how offended I am to drive the streets of my new home and see your "Maple Donuts Takes A Stand Not A Knee" signs all over the place. You might as well have a billboard with a Confederate Flag on it. York is a place that is so thick with racial division, you could almost cut it with a knife, and for a business that's suppose to be a pillar of our community, I find it completely irresponsible for you to put those signs up and it makes me as a new African-American resident of York feel like I've moved my wife and children to an unwelcoming city. It's been said repeatedly by Black players in the NFL, they are kneeling to address racial inequality and police brutality against unarmed Black citizens of this country, so either you don't care that a section of American citizens feel like they don't have the same rights that you take for granted or you just don't pay attention to what these young men are saying. Either way, It would be a better look for one of the community members and business leaders of York to be a beacon of light in an already divisive racial climate, instead of the gasoline poured on that light (starting a racially divisive inferno). York deserves much...
Read moreOn 11/5/2018 at about 7pm we stopped at this maple donuts on our way home. There were 3 people sitting at the counter, 1 female employee making something at the microwave. We waited for what seemed a long time and the employee never acknowledged us. We had put one box of day old donuts on the counter by the register. She then finally looked over and said all you have is that? And i said no...we also want a dozen fresh donuts. Then she didnt say anything and went back to what she was doing. Then she finally ran over to us and said let me ring you up so i can get back to my customer. I said this is not all we want. The employee said 'you said thats all you had'. I said no....that is not what i said and we are customers too! The employee then said 'you are my best customer'. The employee then said ' let me get my customer coffee first'....my husband was fed up and said we are leaving. If one employee cannot handle 4 customers......you need to hire employees that are capable. And it was obvios english was not her first language. I guess hiring non skilled people is cheaper as i can imagine the employee was being paid very minimal. We will never shop at maple donuts anywhere. We will be sure to let all our friends and family know what kind off business maple...
