these are my first reactions to the house... I, a history lover, enjoyed it. I thought it was kind of expensive. The stuff in the house is not necessarily from the house originally. The Daughters of the American Revolution have contributed a lot to the house. It's a long two hour tour. Lots and lots of artifacts to look at. An entire room devoted to buttons from all over the world. They have a big doll collection. My (fairly intellectual) kids thought it was neat. It's kind of like going to a historical society that has a lot of artifacts. Also, there is a neat George Washington relationship to some artifacts in the house. Overall, even if you just like to look at antiques, I would recommend going. You also get to go inside all the rooms instead of looking at them from behind a rope....
