Taqueria El Chilango — Restaurant in St. Ann

It's a small little hole in the wall where you can tell this is what they do. With a plethora of taco choices to pick from as well as a few other items on the menu. You can clearly tell this is a taco joint the other stuff I'm sure is good but not the focus. With tacos ranging from the generics of steak or chicken up to tongue and cheek. We opted for what I knew my kids would eat. Which was asada(steak) pollo(chicken) and chorizo(pork). They come with a handful of toppings 2 sauces one red and one green the red having a nice smokey flavor while the green tasted as of it had a base of jalapeno but not to much heat, Raw onion, cilantro, lime, and cucumber. The meat was flavorful not over cooked and very juicy while all put into a nice corn tortilla. I’m a chilango too (that’s how people from Mexico City are called) so I was looking forward to try this place. The tacos did not disappoint at all. Great flavors and fairly priced. The suadero was DELICIOUS, crispy and fatty, greasy, just like it’s supposed to taste. Extremely similar to the tacos I miss from back home. The customer service was bomb first of all. The owner Carlos made my food and took my order. He was so kind. He spoke to everyone in the restaurant you can tell he cares.
