Right when I walked in I was greeted and they told me if I needed any help to just ask them, so that was nice and welcoming. The outside and inside of this library looks very nice and clean and they also have a garden area you can sit in. This was my first time visiting a library in Kentucky, but I have to say this was smallest (although they have plenty of seating but you should get there early because it does get crowded) and the loudest library I've been to. The noise policy was not enforced, I had someone next to me just laughing out loud and not one word was said about it. When you go to a library the least you should expect is quiet....Anyhow, there are other libraries around Louisville so I'll have to try to visit the others...
Read moreThe library itself is beautiful and wonderfully put together. Maybe it’s my age and things have changed somewhere along the years but the library, patrons and staff are all so loud. I was raised in a time where when we went to the library we whispered and parents told us to keep our voices down. It’s hard to concentrate when you hear staff talking about each other which I made a complaint about this and the staff doesn’t set an example and keep their voices down.
