The Silver Fox — Attraction in Streator

My husband and I got married here on January 13, 2019. When we first started looking for venues, I was drawn to The Silver Fox. From the first conversation with the event manager, Kayla, the place did NOT disappoint. She was very responsive to any and all questions coming from myself and our families. She also gave great recommendations when we had no idea what we were doing. The best of it all was despite what I wanted, if it was normal or nonnon-traditional, she was supportive and helpful. The preparations for our wedding at The Silver Fox felt fun and easy. At our rehearsal when I was overwhelmed with everything going on, Kayla was very much my advocate. On the day of the wedding, I felt completely looked after and taken care of by her and the staff there. I never worried or even thought about how it was going with the food, the desserts, the bar, etc. I had full confidence that they were going to help us and our guests have a great time and they sure did!! We had other options closer to home (Bloomington) when originally looking but I am completely happy we chose this venue. We had the ceremony and reception in the same building which was absolutely wonderful because it snowed a ton the night before. Plus, from the wedding party standpoint, being able to use the Bridal Suite and Groom Suite to hang out and get ready that morning was a massive plus. Our hair girls came to us and it was perfect. Andrew and I hosted our wedding here last weekend. We were completely blown away by the entire experience. Bill, Kayla, and the rest of the team here at The Silver Fox are incredible, so good at what they do, and just so dreamy to work with. They made planning our wedding so low stress and easy, I was worried I was forgetting something, but I just showed up with my dress to the most magical day. It is so much more than just a wedding venue.

It’s in a great spot that makes a drive from the city or the suburbs not too far of a reach. There are quite a few great local of vendors in the area, and the location gives you the option to explore both the Peoria and Chicago wedding markets for other vendors. But you really don’t need many vendors at all! The venue is absolutely beautiful on its own, so you don’t need to do much of anything to dress it up. Everything you need for your wedding is located within the building, which is so convenient for just about everyone. We just told the people and our vendors when to arrive, and didn’t have to coordinate another thing. The day just went off without a hitch.

The Silver Fox really knows how to throw a great party. Everyone had a great time, and it was everything we had envisioned and more for our wedding. We hosted our wedding ceremony and reception at The Silver Fox and truly couldn't have asked for a better venue! Our guests were blown away by the uniqueness and beauty of the space and couldn't stop talking about it all night. We loved that there was a separate space for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception, with the cocktail lounge providing a quieter space for guests to mingle that didn't want to be on or right next to the dance floor. Bill, the lead of the Silver Fox team, was so fantastic to work with the whole time. He was incredibly accommodating and reassuring, easing any anxieties I had about details since he is so experienced in hosting weddings! The rest of the staff was absolutely fantastic as well, working hard to make sure our whole day was truly flawless, from the ceremony to the last call. They were friendly, kind faces that checked in with us throughout the night to be sure we were happy with everything.
