Giannios Candy Co Inc — Attraction in Struthers

Early November I ordered 5#'s of Giannios chocolates from HSN. Somehow the delivery date was changed (sooner than later) and when the chocolates arrived they were melted and quite squished. Needless to say, I was quite upset and disappointed about my purchase. I contacted HSN about the situation & wanted to return the product. They told me to dispose of the chocolates & refunded my money. In addition, I contacted Giannios Candy Co to advise them of the issue. I live in AZ and our weather had been 18° above normal which accounted for the melted chocolates. I received a "thank you" from John Giannios Jr. letting me know he appreciated my advising him of the dilemma. Yesterday I received a replacement box of chocolates, at no charge to me. In my honest opinion, Giannios Candy Co. truly knows the meaning of "GREAT" customer service! I worked there and it is one of the nastiest food production companies I’ve ever worked for. First workers eat candy off of the line which you are not supposed to do…WITHOUT GLOVES ON and it was witnessed by management they did nothing.Second they they expect you to watch for open bars and poorly wrapped bars, pack the candy into boxes that you have to make that are too small for all of the candy and seal with an office desk tape roller (did I mention no tape guns whatsoever) which made your job that much harder. If you are a customer please don’t eat that slop. The prices are too high for this candy especially when you’re selling it to the public. How could they in good conscience take so little care in producing it the way they do. You are being robbed. You might find hair in because they don’t even wear their hairnets correctly. Terrible staff.

When I was living abroad, I begged my parents to buy my husband and I a peanut butter egg from there for Easter. My father walked in there and didn't see the pb eggs, so he asked the staff, to which they said what we have is already out on the floor. He asked if there would be anymore, and they replied we have to wait until they make more. Again, my dad asked when would that happen? I would like to send some to my daughter. All they had to say...
