Recently I tried to take my children to the Splash Pad and there was such a large, obnoxious and rude group of kids there that it felt unsafe to even let my kids stay and play. The staff at the concession stand looked exasperated with the situation, and didn’t even acknowledge my presence. I stood waiting about 5 minutes for the kids to stop swarming around the concession stand and decided to leave after my children were nearly trampled and I was asked several times for money by these completely unsupervised kids. There were a couple of JPS buses in the parking lot, so I’m guessing it was a summer school group, but it was out of control. I saw at least a dozen kids there without any adults nearby and there were another dozen or so running around and yelling in the play area.
