Great dog park!
We go here to run our border collies, generally when there’s not anyone else there, because our pups are more into running than socializing— but I will say we’ve seen some of the SWEETEST and coolest breeds here (I’m a groomer & trainer, and thus a dog fanatic) so if your dog goes to play with others and you like dog watching this is a great spot!
It’s always nicely kept, and people do a great job of picking up after their dogs when needed.
The only negative (which I can’t fault the park for) is we have been here a couple times where people bring in dogs that are not well socialized or friendly with other dogs, and while my dogs are very well trained and focus entirely on running despite any distractions, it is frustrating at times where a dog is slamming into mine, barking incessantly and nipping at my dogs and the owner does little to nothing to correct their dogs and I have to intervene. This is generally why we like to try and scope the park out for when no one else is there, on the off chance we run into puppers like that.
If your dogs aren’t friendly with other dogs, it’s best to do training to work on this, and THEN come to the...
Read moreGreat, well maintained park with plenty of space for my dogs to run off their energy. All 3 of my dogs loved it here. There were a decent number of people, but not so much that it felt crowded. I could see it being quite busy on a weekend though. One thing to note. I'm new here, and I've noticed that the ground in arizona tends to be harder than where I came from. I've got a very energetic dog, and I've been to multiple dog parks around here. Seems like everywhere I go my dog ends up blowing a pad. It's no fault to this place which is why I didn't drop a star. Just a word of caution to any that might have high energy dogs. Otherwise, I definitely think I'll be back to this dog...
Read moreNice, well maintained dog park. There are two large areas, one for small dogs and one for larger breeds. Plenty of waste bins make it easy to clean up after your pooches (though some don't and that isn't the fault of the park). There are seating areas throughout as well as a covered picnic table near each entrance which has a water fountain with attached bowl for the furry friends means Fido and Spot can get that all important water easily and keep playing longer. There are actually three areas here, but two are only ever open at one time as they rotate through to allow grass to recover. This yields a very nice area for the pups to play in...
