House of Meats — Attraction in Tampa

The store is clean and organized. The staff that I interacted with were helpful all be it a few did not speak any english. There were several who did and the one who did not was very helpful with what he could understand. For those who don't speak english well there is bi- lingual help for you. I went for seafood. I fry or bake fish every Friday. I bought snapper and grouper heads cut up. The price on two red snappers was $$. The price on the grouper head was $. I bought some other essentials also. The don't have a extensive grocery area, because their primary focus is on the sale of fresh and frozen meats. They do have a butcher area with fresh meat helpers. I cooked the fish that was frozen later that evening and they both were delicious. I will do return business with them. For my EBT or SNAP followers, they do take it. I have been going to this meat market since I wasn't even old enough to buy anything. Now that i am old enough to do my own shopping i have been. I will continue to shop here for my meat until they close or I die. Which ever happens first. My grandma cousins brother friends all shop here. I will always recommend HOUSE OF MEATS to anyone who's shopping for meats. The prices here beat any prices around. The quality of meat is good as well. The staff are very helpful and attend to all your needs. This morning i saw my friend there. Now today was the first time I have ever seen the staff unable to help someone. But now my friend was asking for something kinda ridiculous. They already had goat meat cut into 2 inch pieces and he wanted them butchers to cut them into 1 inch pieces. There is a wide variety of hispanic type meat cuts. They also carry fruits, vegetables and latino grocery items. The help is very attentive and friendly. There are specific items that I buy here that I cannot find in the usual places. Economic pricing on ethnic items I like to cook. Large sized octupus and conch for example for a fresh island salad.
