The renovation is amazing. I should post photos but I was too busy with the boat (I'll go back sometime just for photos). If you wanna get your boat in the water and meander down the river a ways come or fish the brackish water dashed this is your place, but if you want to go boating in the Bay, choose a ramp further down, Closer to the Bay and you'll save yourself the time. The ripper is a nice experience just for the sake of tooling up-and-down or going from lower part to Ricks for a Burger, And you can even dock close to the boardwalk... Read moreThis is a decent boat ramp positioned on the Hillsborough River near Tampa Bay river walk and Curtis Hixon Park, but it can get crowded at times. You’re in a no wake zone for quite a while if you’re headed out to the bay. The water is very dark and full of gators so I suggest you only go out from there on a reliable vessel. Few miles down the river you can dock at Ricks and have yourself a cold drink and some good local food. One day the ramp was closed because local pd was recovering a dead body that had washed up. Read moreThe ramp is decent, plenty of space for 2 people to unload or load at a time. The floating dock portion is nice but if you’re in a ski be careful, you could lose your ski under the larger dock. Not nearly enough parking for trailers, one has to park in like 3-4 normal car parking spots or in the grass.
There’s plenty of room for the city to add more parking or even convert some of the regular parking into overflow parking.
This park should be surveyed for visitors to better provide services to the residents...
