Silly Dilly's at The Enchanted Spot — Attraction in Tampa

I feel compelled to share an experience I had today that I’ll be thinking about for a long time. I’ve been searching for a dress for my toddler for my mom’s celebration of life and I’ve been having the hardest time. I had given up for the day and on my way home I passed Silly Dilly’s at the Enchanted Spot on El Prado and decided to stop in. This place is like a scene out of a movie. Something you have to see to believe. Ms. Kate, the owner, was so kind. She has the most unique toys, gifts, and clothes I’ve ever seen. There’s a little play area for your kids to play while you shop and she even played with my toddler while I was looking around. When it came time to try on some of the dresses I pulled, Ms. Kate was so helpful in assisting me and even offered my toddler a treat (with my permission) which was so helpful because I can think of 100 things I’d rather do than change my toddlers clothes multiple times. Between shopping, chatting, and letting my toddler play I ended up spending an hour there and it didn’t realize how much I needed that. The kindness, the help with my toddler, and the overall experience that is so hard to find these days. This is the kind of place that deserves a space in our community. I stumbled across this neighborhood gem last month with my kids and the magic has yet to wear off for all of us! It was as if we had just stepped into a dreamland filled with wonder. In fact, I'm pretty sure there is no place like Silly Dilly's anywhere in Florida....or anywhere, really, and that magic will certainly shine for those who step foot inside this whimsical, charming gift shop for children of all ages 0-101! Within this space lies something extra enchanting- amidst the storybooks, vintage ornaments and gorgeous imported clothing, is an enchanted parlor where owner Kate hosts tea parties, holiday events and birthday parties. Fantastic! Magical! Enchanting! We had a double 6th birthday mermaid tea party for my daughter and her best friend and it was awesome! We still get compliments and it was so easy. Kate took care of everything from the food, decorations, cake and the favors. She even used real plates and tea cups. The girls and the guest really felt specia! What Kate offers there is so unique and so perfect! It’s truly what you’d want in a local store; nothing commercial about it. Whatever you can dream she can make it a reality!
