I saw at least a dozen dogs, and ALL were LEASHED!!!! Thank you Taunton!!! You have no idea how amazing it is for someone medically fragile (I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, which is like brittle bone syndrome except it’s my ligaments and tendons, not my bones, which are fragile) to be able to FREELY enjoy the park!!!!
The quiet and fresh air were so so refreshing, and I wouldn’t have come if even one dog had been off leash (friendly dogs are the reason I dislocated my hip).
So so grateful for dog parents who share the space, and show respect!
This place has plenty of parking, a large picnic area, a children’s garden, and a variety of trails and restrooms (though those close around 4pm, while the park is open later).
There’s even a bird conservation area when you enter, and it is so peaceful.

THANK YOU dog parents !!! Thank you park for enforcing this...
Read moreI've been going here since I was a small child, walking the paths from the bridge all the way down to the waterfall and everywhere in between. It has changed a loylt due to erosion and such but I still bring my two toddlers here at least a couple times a week to walk the paths and run around in the grass, fly kites, have picnics at the rest area. They just redid the cabin along the path and it is much more child friendly now. Good spots for fishing, we often see turtles and swans along the river. We appreciate everything that goes into keeping the...

The picnic tables were clean, lots of trash cans in the picnic area and the porta potty on site was usable. Lots of great little fishing spots and places to launch a canoe. Would highly recommend as a great place to explore for those who like to...
