This store and certain departments went downhill after the ownerâs of Stop & Shop purchased Hannaford. The quality from the fish department has been awful, so much so that I stopped buying fresh fish because the last 2 or 3 times I had bad experiences. I got sick after eating their farm raised salmon and had to throw out their baked haddock as it came out rubbery after cooking it. Whatâs also been most frustrating is the continuous running out of or not having in stock of items in the deli department. After Covid happened the store got rid of the servings served by the pound of certain items of salads etc. instead the deli department put these items into prepackage items that made it more costly and easier to run out of product. For example I canât buy half a pound of chicken salad. I have to buy a full pound container. Not to mention they always run out of chicken and their meals to go. Which brings me to the complete screw up of their hannaford to go service. The store couldnât provide me with items I ordered from their deli department. I ordered 2 plain chicken cutlets for $7.99 the day before pickup. They werenât available and the store tried to substitute it with a chicken parmesan meal for two for $14.99. Twice the amount of what I ordered and not close to the same thing. This store doesnât care about your budge or needs and departments like the deli cannot be bothered to keep up...

This last visit, todayâs date ( See Attached Photos) while at customer service to get credit back, l dealt with Fran Jackson. She was very quick and disrespectful to me, at one point stating âYou are mad, because you are not getting cash back â This is so inappropriate to say to a customer. I am a customer who spends on average $100 twice a week here & is a part of the awards program. After l was hassled regarding getting my money back for something l didnât receive, l went to my vehicle to put my groceries in the car. I then returned to ask what the name was of the staff member who l just spoke to. ( Fran Jackson had her name badge turned backwards, so it was not visible to customers ) When l returned, l witnessed her in a huddle with the cashier and bagger who l had just cashed out with, Fran pointed over to me and they all stopped speaking. Not sure if they think this is a joke, but l donât need and will not put up with this disrespect and hassle to receive my money back. I contacted the manager via email close to six hours ago, when l sent the email at approximately 12 noon, with no response. Keep in mind, there are a few other grocery stores in the area, that l am sure wonât mind taking my $200 a week. I will share this experience with family...
   Read moreWent to the deli to grab the pre-made and packaged lunch meats and when we realized there was no land-o-lakes white cheese there were four employees behind the deli counter cutting meats. I asked the woman âare you folks openâ she replied âno we closed at 7pmâ she then abruptly turned and walked away. All I was going to ask was are you, or can you get us some cheese. Instead I stood there looking at these employees who had zero customer service skills as they carried on with a conversation of âdo these customers see the sign? Or do they look to see when the deli closesâ then carry on laughing about it!! I can honestly say based on this attitude and the lack of care and customer service I can promise you I just spent my last penny at Hannafords going forward. I donât think it would have been to much to ask âis there anything I can get for youâ and sell us the cheese they clearly didnât stock out front!!
