Loved this museum! A modest collection with some surprising gems, very well maintained and interesting. The kids and I learned a lot. My curiosity was piqued on one subject in particular, which prompted me to purchase a book from their gift corner, which I hadn't planned on doing. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My 14-year-old son is into genealogy and they were great about setting him up in the research library. After our visit we asked if there was anything else of interest in the area (as we are from out of state) and a local event was suggested - which turned out to be amazing! All around, a great experience. I highly recommend this quaint, immaculate, informative museum.

This was such a cool place to visit. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. I brought my elderly mom & Aunt only to discover the majority of the collection is upstairs and there's no elevator. One member occupied them while I ran up to view the upstairs with another staffer. I learned a great deal. My favorite was the silver collection...it is the silver city after all. There is no charge, but a donation is greatly appreciated. Check it out.

This museum closed abruptly on the final day to turn in its highly advertised "Passport to History", yet another abrupt closure and poor communication I experienced when attempting to travel to the 15 other sites in the book. I live 45 minutes away and do not plan to come back. I do not recommend the passport to anyone looking to fill it out in future seasons.
