Devito’s Pizzeria — Restaurant in Taunton

First of all, I have been meaning to write this review for several weeks, so my apologies that it is delayed!! This review is in regards to Devito's catering; TRY THEM!!! You will not be disappointed!! (Although we have had their steak and cheese subs since the new ownership and those are awesome as well).

We have ordered from them twice now for two separate events. The first was our annual Halloween party. I decided this year that instead of prepping the food on my own, we would just get it catered. Friends of ours used these guys for their daughter's sweet sixteen and highly recommended them to us.

As we were expecting about 80 people, we ordered a full tray of chicken parm over ziti, a half tray of penne alla vodka, two full trays of chicken fingers, a half tray of plain ziti in red sauce, and a full tray of chicken broccoli alfredo.

The process from start to finish was easy! I spoke both with Melissa, the catering manager, and the owner. They were clear, kind, and just overall very nice to work with. Delivery came exactly when we requested it. The food itself was PERFECT!!! SO SO good and flavorful. Chicken tenders especially were a HUGE hit. They are not previously frozen and are hand-battered, so they come out incredibly tender, juicy, and delicious even just to eat plain without sauce! We did get a few sauces as well, but a lot of people ended up just grabbing them on the go all night. The pricing is very fair and reasonable. They really helped make planning and executing my event so much easier, and I am grateful they were able to accommodate us.

The chicken tenders were such a hit with our friends that we ended up ordering a tray of them to take to a Christmas party this past month. Cannot recommend them enough!!

This is the WORST place I’ve ever even attempted to order from. I called at 8 PM to order on a Friday night, they got the order and took my credit card number and phone number. I was told 30-45 mins. Then I called back at 8:50 PM seeing where my order was, they asked my street name, I was then told they were leaving with my order once the driver gets back in. THEN I called at 9:20 PM waited 15 mins for someone to answer (because they close at 9 PM) for them to say they don’t have my order and that they don’t know why I was told the driver was leaving with my order. Then they practically called me an idiot saying I must have called the wrong place. So I waited almost 1 hour and 30 mins for them to say they could have lost the slip or something like that and there is nothing they can do because they close at 9 PM and everything was shut off. I could hear them going back and forth with me on the phone saying they never heard of that street, there is no slip or order, it could have gotten lost, etc. my question..why was I told when the driver gets back he is coming to my address? TO TOP IT OFF...the owner never called me back the next day regarding this issue. This is the worst customer service I’ve ever had! I could go on and on, but I have nothing good to say about this place.

Wasn't thrilled. It's a bit on the expensive side for what is essentially a town pizza type place. Counter service only, tiny eat in area with hard melamine tables and benches, etc. I ordered on a fairly busy Friday night during slam time. So I was surprised to be told that my antipasto and calzone would be ready in ten minutes. K didn't get my food for a half hour, give or take a few minutes. Then, the food. The antipasto looked like some one threw a handful of coldcuts and cheese at a bowl of lettuce from ten yards. The dressing given was somehow ranch‽ The order taker asked me about specifics of salad part of antipasto, I said no tomato. Came with tomato. The calzone was of decent size and well enough made, but a bit much in that there were large pockets of bug lumps of poorly distributed pepperoni. So, overall, for the money and wait time, I would expect more. This all would have been way more ok if the prices were ⅓ lower and served in...
