Adventure Thrift Center — Attraction in Tavares

Update: A very rude and mean spirited woman behind the counter is digging through a bag of donated jewelry. I asked how much for the bag and she said she has to go through it first so that she can find all the good stuff and keep it for her and other staff members. THEY ARE KEEPING DONATIONS FOR THEMSELVES!!! THIS IS STEALING! The items have been donated so that they can be sold, not taken by a staff member who just wants them for free! DO NOT DONATE HERE!

Although the people are nice here this is a low end thrift shop that just has average things. When I asked to see something behind the counter I was interested in purchasing the lady working told me she “had to go through it first”. If these smaller thrift stores are letting the employees “cherry pick” for themselves it explains why nothing is left for the people that keep them in business; the general public. The lady that works Tuesdays is EXTREMELY judgmental to the point that I hesitate to come in. Today I asked for a price check on an unlabeled bottle to which she imitated what I was doing, searched for it online, and said I could have 40% off of the highest value listing. I kindly said no thanks. No doubt I'll be badgered about using my mother's card just for this review. Tldr: IF there's anything good you better pray they don't realize you're getting...

Needs better prices. Went in to buy barbies and they took 2 bags and said we are not selling these now...i asked why they said we are not selling. Then they said oh someone else is buying those... mind you noone was by us i was the only one there purchasing. Then the story changed again.

Not a good business...
