Five Below — Attraction in Temecula

This review is not about the store but about the customer service, or lack of, I should say.

My daughter and I were there a couple of days ago and she decided to use her Lemonade-stand money which was basically mostly change… lots of coins and dollar bills. She used the self checkout register to pay for her merchandise. As she was inserting the money, the register just froze. We asked for help, but the first employee was not able to help so he called his manager. She proceeded to help us, but was not very pleasant. She kept asking us how much money we had already put in the register, but because it was all change, we were not keeping track of how much we were putting in, we were just looking at how much money we still needed to put in. She got very frustrated and moved us to another register. She re-rung us for everything but we were both trying to figure out how much we still owed her. At the end of the transaction, she just handed me the change and turned her back at me without even saying thank you or apologizing for the inconvenience caused by their register freezing up on us. Instead, she gave us an attitude. I asked her if she was a manager and she said yes. Why is she a manager if she is not able to handle this type of situations, plus she’s supposed to be courteous and professional with her customers. We did not get her name, but she has dark, curly, short hair… her boss needs to talk to her about her behavior towards customers. The whole process of us paying took about 20 minutes! My daughter apologized for using dollar bills and I told her it was NOT her fault! It was the register and the woman’s attitude that caused all this trouble! This was our first time visiting the store, and had a really bad experience with that manager.

I LOVE THIS STORE!! We're ALWAYS greeted with a smile and Awesome personality of Esmeralda. The store is Neat, Clean and Fully Stocked. I've been in other 5Belows up north (Montclair and Pomona) and there never clean. The employees are just that, employees. They don't smile nor greet. For this reason I stayed out of the stores but decided to visit this store. I'm Glad I Did! With the looks of this store and with Esmeralda there, I'll continue shopping here. Theres a young lady that stocks and keeps busy in the back. I'm sorry I don't know her name, but I have to give her credit too. She keeps to herself by constantly making sure items...

Wow! This store is very well taken care of, clean and well stocked. We found more than what we were looking for. We took the kids to look for fun summer stuff and Five Below delivered. The employees were very nice and helped us locate an item we saw on their advertisement. This is a...
