This incident has happened to me 4 times at this restaurant. I'm not one to pull the race card, and as a matter of fact this is the very first time in my life I'm using it. I'm not sure if it has to do with the color of my skin (Brown), or me as an individual. Every time I visited this establishment, I was completely ignored. The hostess acknowledges me being there, but proceeds to ignore me, or take other people that come in after me. The first two times, I didnt think much of it (thinking maybe they had an apt or something), but found it very strange because I heard them ask how many of them there are. The first 2 incidents, they sat me down after I waited for about 15 minutes, even though they were not busy and had plenty of tables or booths available. Once they sat me down, I ordered my food and I kid you not, they didn't bring out my food out for about 25 minutes (again, even though they weren't busy). The third incident, I called before going in and made reservations to go in because I was on my lunch break, they booked my apt and when I got in, I was seated. Then I was ignored AGAIN, no one came to acknowledge the fact that I was there, I had to call a waitress over just so I can ask for a cup water. As I stated from my previous 2 experiences about how I was treated, I decided to pay attention to customers coming in after me. At this time, about 10 minutes of being ignored, I noticed a couple, and two families of 5 come in (a total of 12 people), immediately they were seated, asked what they would like to drink (I still haven't gotten my water), the waitress quickly brings out everyone's drinks except mine, at this point 15 minutes had past and I reminded the waitress about my water and told her I'm ready to order, she takes my order. She then goes and takes everybody else's order. Including me, there was 13 people in the restaurant, within 10 to 15 minutes, everyone gets their food, except me. So now that roughly 30 mins had gone by, I had only fifteen minutes left, I noticed another batch of food coming out, none of them were mine. It was another 12 mins, and I got up and started to leave. I told the hostess to cancel my order, but I'll still pay for the food (my family has owned many restaurants and I hated when customers ordered food and left last second without paying), the hostess said hang on, ran in the back and came out with a bag of food that had just been sitting there, she comes and says "oh it was ready, but we forgot about your order, sorry. Next time order your food over on the phone and it will be quicker", I found that beyond disrespectful, how can you "forget my food is done". Today 6/8/20 I go in 1 more time hoping for a better experience. I walk in and the hostess sees me, but ignors me for about a min. She calls over two customers that were sitting down and proceeds to speak to them in Korean (not an issue, but the fact that they both kept looking at me and then proceed with talking in a foreign language was a bit uncomfortable), the lady spoke to the hostess for about 5 minutes, and the hostess did not acknowledge me for one second that I was there, not even saying anything like "ill be right with you", when the lady finished her order she sat. Again, hostess is completely ignoring me, the ladies friend jumps up and starts talking to the hostess, ans the hostesd glady starts helping her. After waiting a total of 10 minutes, I walked out. This is by far one of the worst experiences I have ever had in a restaurant. I always try to give places I've had a bad experience with a second try because I know how it can get, but this is absolutely unacceptable. I will never visit this establishment ever again, and I will warn every person of color regarding the experience...
Read moreI recently placed an order from Hana Sushi through DoorDash, and unfortunately, the entire experience left much to be desired. From start to finish, it was riddled with disappointments that I feel compelled to share.
Firstly, the delivery process was far from smooth. My order took longer to arrive than the estimated time, leaving me anxiously waiting for my meal. To my dismay, when the food finally arrived, it was not at the desired temperature, indicating that it had been left to sit for too long.
To make matters worse, Hana Sushi decided to charge me for basic condiments like sauces that should have been included with the meal. It’s simply unacceptable to charge extra for something that is considered a standard part of any Japanese cuisine order.
Adding to the frustration, the delivery driver was made to wait for an additional 15 minutes before they could pick up my order. This unnecessary delay not only inconvenienced the driver but also contributed to the overall tardy delivery.
The lack of transparency, poor customer service, and apparent disregard for timely deliveries have left me with no desire to patronize Hana Sushi again. As a customer, I expect a seamless ordering and delivery process, but unfortunately, this experience fell far short of meeting those expectations.
I strongly advise others to think twice before ordering from Hana Sushi through DoorDash, as the quality of service and food fell below par. There are plenty of other restaurants and delivery options that offer a better experience and value...

Seating is limited but I didn't have a wait. Only 2 other parties there. No problem. They have a huge menu. A lot to choose from. I kind of wish they would taper it down a little. They didn't have a dynamite bowl appetizer. That was a bummer.
My first time here so I asked the server and he suggested the hana roll. It was good and decent portion. I also ordered a bottle of saki. I didn't order it from a menu. I just described it and he brought out a bottle and I agreed. I wish I looked at the price or he told me. 19 bucks for that brand is a little high. Furthermore, it was settled which means its been sitting for awhile. I've never had to shake my saki that costs 19 bucks. And I didn't even get any buzz from it. Something seemed odd about it. I'm starting to notice that alcohol in Temecula at restaurants is just a bad idea. Expensive and they don't seem to have alcohol content. Something strange about settled saki.
With a 18 dollar roll it came to 30 bucks. I mean, it was a good roll but the saki was not quality and combined, the value was not there for me. Again. Minimize menu. I don't need 4 different rolls that have a simple variation. That's...
