Great food! Always enjoy the fish taco specials on Thursday. The fish is always fried fish (I think they can also grill it but we always forget to order it), with handmade tortillas and fresh toppings. The spicy surf n turf burrito is spicy deliciousness. The ooey gooey melted cheese with their special diabla sauce marries together perfectly with the freshly cut cabbage and pick de gallo in the burrito. There salsa bar is always stocked and if you love spice like we do, you will find a great selection to fit your spice pallet.
The Dos Amore's burrito is also heaven in tortilla. It is carne asada and al pastor tossed together on the grill with cheese, salsa, fresh pico and guacamole. My mouth is literally watering just thinking about it!
It gets packed and is very small inside but totally worth the wait. You can always call ahead. I've never waited more than 15 minutes but hey when you're food is freshly prepped AND you can see the grill and them making all your food, it's TOTALLY worth it.
They have Taco Tuesday but I've haven't actually been. I've had tacos aplenty there so I'm sure the discounted price on this particular day of the week is only the icing on the cake.
Only two downsides I can think of: 1) The horchata is blah so I only ever ordered it once. But I like that there's self serve fountain drinks and a mini fridge of Jarritos or other drinks. And 2) there's a charge to use your card. That's just a personal peeve of mine so if you don't like being penalized to use your card, bring cash, but if you're like me, you're probably going to forget.
My kids love this place too! We eat here at least twice a week. Definitely a gem here in Temecula! I can't wait to...
Read moreI went in for lunch today. I ordered a shrimp diablo burrito. i noticed the burrito was missing in my order but a shrimp taco was in its place. The 1st cashier was sweet and said she made a mistake and put a shrimp taco in its place on the receipt. Understandable. She got another lady involved and this is where my experience went bad. The lady asked me if i was going to eat the shrimp taco. I dont see how thats relevant but I said its not what i ordered and was most likely not going to eat it as i ordered a burrito. So my assumption was she was going to charge me in full for the burrito if i kept the taco, so i asked her if she wanted the taco back. she said YES! and proceeded to take the taco from our take out box that had 2 other tacos in it. how is that sanitary? she then rang me up for the difference between the taco and the burrito and had an attitude when doing so. a little customer service goes a long way. especially when im spending $35 on lunch for myself and 2 kids. next time ill go to the other options in the area. 5 stars for the first cashier. she did a great job and even admitted to a mistake that could have been simple miscommucation and i completely understand. no stars for...
Read moreI don't know why this restaurant doesn't have over 3k reviews. It's by far the most authentic Mexican restaurant selling the best tacos WITHOUT CHEDDAR CHEESE, I seriously don't know what the obsession is with cheddar cheese in Cali when it comes to Mexican food. They don't go together! Not on a taco, enchiladas, or in a chile relleno or on top of my mfen beans. GROSS Back to this restaurant, okay they have 2.00 tacos on taco Tuesday, ( which in my opinion, they are selling themselves short) fresh salsa bar, and hand made fluffy fat tortillas not the white masa kind that leave behind an awful taste and smell. These are actual tortillas de maiz, yellow maiz! This place is doing it right. The pastor is 🔥 the carnitas aren't dry and the asada isn't burned. Unlike Mexico Cafe La cocina bar and grill Rosa's cafe and tortilla factory And Guadalajara Mexican grill. Don't believe me, just Google their menu, CHEDDAR CHEESE ENTHUSIAST 🤢 These places are a hell no for me. Sincerely a...
