I have been taking my kids to this Park for about a year and they love it. It is not what I would call an advanced level park, but its a great Park for kids and entry to intermediate skaters and Pro Scootering. They do require that you wear a helmet and pads, which is smart. And they only charge $1 for a year membership to the park which gives you supervision over your kids.
In reading some other peoples comments I want to first give you the history and probably where they are coming from because this park is not open 24 hours a day, which it could and probably should be. However, some kids have been injured here, as they are at every skating park because its part of the sport, yet the parents tried to sue the city. So thanks to them this park will more than likely never be open 24/7.
As for someone mentioning money. Seriously dude! Its $1 for a year membership. If you can't afford that then I suggest you get a job and/or a clue. This park is losing money and could easily charge the going rates which are $5 to $10 for a 2 hour session.
And for the rental equipment, my kids now have there own because they are really getting into the sport, but as for your comment on getting a rash because the equipment it dirty and not cleaned. My kids never had a problem and used their equipment for 6 months with no issues. Also one of the reviews on this park cites a specific incident claiming of this rash which is NOT TRUE because in the post it states that they made him put the pads on to go SKATING, and he did not like the park because it was filled with SCOOTER kids and their moms. This park holds separate skate sessions for skate boarders and scooter, which is a park rule, so that posting is not true.
Also some of the negative comments here are more than likely from BMX Bikers that are angry because this park does not allow them to use the facility. So over time many of them have vandalized the park, tried cutting the fence and locks, and trying to give this place bad reviews. Don't take it out on the workers take it up with the city! And maybe if you tried diplomacy vs vandalism the city might just listen. You may not know this but the city was going to recently allow BMX Bikers back into the park, but then when the city fixed the holes in the fence they saw several BMX Bikers cutting through the fence again so they brought this up at the last city counsel meeting and now your ban continues from the park.
Also I believe the employees are extremely friendly and caring about the kids! I am not sure about people saying bad things about them because they have a genuine love and care for...
Read moreThis really is the worst skatepark I've ever been to. I moved to Temecula from East county San Diego and they have little street parks in El Caron that are less then a quarter the size of this park and yet it just works out so much better. Every slope is just way too steep for boards and even for bikes I would imagine it feels wonky. One of the other reviews pretty much summed it up, this is an "old school or 80's skatepark" you can tell it just wasn't designed by someone who knew skateparks. I really thought moving to Temecula would have multiple skateparks it's crazy they just have this one derelict park that is a pretty good size but it's just wasted potential. The ONLY reason I'm giving two stars is because this place was the first time I've ever seen a pump track. The pump track is a blast but they seem to have those...
Read moreWent to the park and the first thing I noticed were the employees giving me attitude. I rented out some pads and was told to put them on in front of them. Right when I got in, I noticed how weirdly the park was set up. I could tell most of the park hasn't even been touched yet because of where they're located. After I got done skating, I took off the pads and realized that whole area was red and itchy. My arms and knees smelled horrible, like they don't even take care of their equipment. Overall that skatepark is horrible. I was only there for 45 minutes before I became sick of the park. The employees also kept yelling at me to put my helmet back on when I'm either standing up scratching my head or sitting down taking a breather. The park is filled with scooter kids and their moms watching over them from outside. I never...
