I'm a 100% disabled Veteran. I receive care through the VA Community Care Network. After waiting, for 6 months, the VACCN sent me here.
My first visit was just okay. The doctor explained that her form of acupuncture therapy was more aggressive than others. She also informed me that she had the highest level of education, in her field, than anyone else in this area. I thought I was in good hands.
My first appointment was two weeks ago. I answered her questions and described the type of acupuncture therapy I had gotten in the past and how it had helped. She explained, in her opinion, how she didn't think that type of therapy actually helped.
I told her that my last therapist focused on my upper and lower back, but she decided to perform a total body treatment. She must have inserted almost 100 acupuncture needles into my body.
The treatment caused me so much pain, I cried. When she came back, approximately 20-25 minutes later, to remove the needles, she left one in my neck and one in the side of my face. I told the lady at the front. She directed me to put the two forgotten needles in a sharps container.
Leaving needles in my body had never happened with my last therapist. Fast forward to today...
I came in and waited for Belinda He to come and prep me for my 2nd treatment. I began explaining how painful my first treatment was with her. She cut me off and told me, in a raised tone of voice, that if I didn't like her treatment, I should go somewhere else. She explained that her treatment is different from all other acupuncture therapists. She said that they use/do "20%" and she goes "100%" with her treatment. She again reiterated that if I don't like her "style," then I should go somewhere else.
She then proceeded to tell me that I complained, to the VA, about her and I needed to ask the receptionist what the VA told her that I said. I was so confused. I haven't spoken to the VA at all. I respond to text messages asking me if I attended my scheduled appointments, and that's it. So, I went up to the receptionist to ask her what the VA said. The receptionist accused me of using the wrong tone of voice. I informed the receptionist that my tone was the same as the tone Belinda had spoken to her in. I was asking a question that neither one of them wanted to answer.
The point is... I've sat for 8 hours for a tattoo that didn't hurt like her acupuncture treatment did. She didn't listen, during my first appointment, to what my physical ailments/needs were. She decided to use her more "aggressive approach" to perform an unnecessary total body treatment.
Belinda did not meet my expectations. She is abrasive and refuses to acknowledge what you need, as the patient. She instead gives you the treatment that she thinks you need.
If I go to a foot doctor, I don't want them to treat me shoulder problems. I expect to be treated for foot problems. It is the same concept here.
This treatment approach was not for me. It may be exactly what someone else needs, but it...
Read moreAs a veteran, it is refreshing to be in the hands of a caring doctor. I went into this clinic not being able to move my right arm from cervical radiculopathy. I will be completely honest. My first accupuncture session had me in tears and not from the doctor, but I was truly ill, and my body was resisting the treatment initially. For accupuncture, I didn't know what to expect beyond a basic understanding and had only read the reviews and am glad I decided on this location. From Jackie, the receptionist to Dr Louis and Dr Belinda He, my experience has been fantastic. For 4 months, no other doctor could help me beyond pain pills or surgery. I wanted to get my life and mobility back, not mask the issue, or operate on my neck unnecessarily. Dr. Belinda is helping me get my life back, and I am finally on my way back to full mobility. With the accupuncture and herbs, I can feel and see a change in my mental health and body. Do yourself a favor and research so you will know what to expect, especially if you have had chronic pain for years. It took years for your body to become unhealthy, so it will take some time to reverse some of your issues, but patience is key. Dr. He is being very patient and delicate with me, and she does make sure my discomfort, if any, is minimal. I initially could only tolerate a few accupuncture needles because of my condition, but now I barely feel the needles at all. I trust her knowledge and skillset and hope to be under her care for the foreseeable future until I am at the healthy level I desire. I am a strong believer in TCM because, for me, it works! Thank you, Woodlands accupuncture team. You are a...

I was referred to Dr. here for extremely low energy and severe foot pain. I have suffered with pain from having flat feet my entire life. Tried special (and expensive) shoes, and different types of treatment with no luck.
After just a few sessions with Dr. He my foot pain has stopped completely. I am able to be up on my feet all day with no issues, thanks to her treatment. I also feel better than I have in years and have started to even lose weight. I have more energy and feel stronger.
My wife who is a disabled veteran started treatment for pain from her injuries and hormonal issues. The work she has been doing with my wife has been amazing. She has a lot more energy, feels more balanced and just feels great overall. She prescribed several herbs that my wife takes religiously and swears by the positive results. Much better than the bags of medicine given to her by previous doctors.
We are very blessed to have found Dr. He. We trust her every recommendation and know that the treatment she recommends is to help us improve our health and well-being. There’s...
