Powers Law Group was recommended to me by a friend who had her Immigration issue resolved over 8 years ago.

From scheduling a consultation, to the initial contact with Ruby and to the eventual resolution of my case was nothing less than extraordinary! In about 7 months, my case was resolved – something which ordinarily in practice should take over a year or more.

Cost: The fees are reasonable, and clients are given adequate time in which to make payments for services requested.

Contracts: Contents of the contract for services requested are explained and thoroughly drafted which makes it easy for anyone to understand what they are signing.

Promptness: Ximena, the Legal Assistant assigned to my case, was amazing. She made sure I was kept abreast of what was happening every step of the way. There was no delay at all in responding to questions I had and clarified areas of concern adequately. If she was going to be out of the office, she would inform me in advance so that my expectations were managed – this way I was kept informed and knew how to proceed in her absence.

Collaboration: I was well informed before any decision or submission was made. We looked at what I wanted to achieve. The firm summarized all the options available and the effects of each option on the current situation. Before the last submission was made, Kristen, Cynthia and Ximena, explicitly stated the pros and cons for each option and together with them, we agreed and proceeded with the preferred way forward, which resulted in a successful outcome.

“The Only Consistent Thing Is the Inconsistency”

I hired Powers Law Group for my E2 visa case and trusted them to handle it properly. From the beginning, all of my documents were complete and correct—according to their own guidance. They told me everything looked good and even assured me that there was a 99% chance my case would be approved.

After a full year of waiting, they suddenly said I needed to file a mandamus lawsuit—for $4,500. The worst part? The U.S. embassy had already emailed me to say my case was rejected, and Powers Law Group knew this. They didn’t tell me and still pushed the mandamus anyway, knowing it was pointless. In the end, it was rejected too—and they never gave me any explanation for why.

To make matters worse, their team kept changing. Each new person was unaware of what the previous one had done. They even lost some of my documents, asked me to resend them, and then the next new person asked for the same ones again. I had to repeat my case and resend files multiple times, like no one was actually managing anything.

I expected professional legal support and transparency. Instead, I got false promises, lost files, no accountability, and a $4,500 charge for a case they knew was...
