Carpenter Park Fields — Attraction in Thornton

This review is more specific to the Thornton Winterfest that is held every year.

Winterfest is always a great time every year. There are plenty of activities throughout the day and always a drone or fireworks show at least one of the evenings. It's been hosted by Brothers Plum, Heating & Electric for the last few years and they really do a good job with it. My only gripe is the vendors. It is very much priced for connivence. I would recommend eating or grabbing coffee or hot chocolate from home or even from Starbucks/Dutch Bros/Ziggies/etc. About $29 bucks for 4 small Swiss Miss hot chocolates. If you get marshmallows, you'll get about 6 or so small ones. At more than $7 a hot chocolate, go get something nice and bring it yourself. Everything else, I have no issues with. Bundle up...

Massive grassy area with a wonderful path around it that is paved, making it great for cycling, jogging, or dog walking. The grass is nice but could be maintained a little better. They do have clean restrooms with running water which is really great. I would highly recommend this park to anyone looking to do physical activity. The city of Thornton always does such a great job with all their events. The winterfest is great to visit every year. Kids love it and have a great time.
