HORRIBLE!!!!! I live in Virginia and was flying to Denver for my daughter’s baby shower. I called 5 weeks prior to the event and emailed a picture of what I wanted. They said no problem they could definitely replicate the picture. So I ordered the flavors and fillings and icing (whipped cream icing). They called back and said the whipped cream icing wouldn’t hold up and recommended cream cheese or butter cream. No problem, so I told them cream cheese icing then. I gave them the date and time I would be picking it up. All they told me me was I could put a deposit towards it that day or I could just pay in full when I picked it up. I decided to pay when I picked it up. I received no confirmation number or anything like that. Day of the baby shower came and I sent my son in law to pick it up because I was 40 minutes from A Cake Occasion. He was told it wasn’t made because it wasn’t confirmed!!!!!! It was a done deal!!!! Totally unacceptable, I was so disappointed, so was my daughter. She ended up going to Nothing Bundt Cakes to get her own baby shower cake. It was extremely delicious and saved the day. Don’t rely on A Cake Occasion if you want your event to...
Read moreWe ordered cupcakes online for my son's 9th birthday to be picked up on 5/30/20 @12PM. My husband called for the "curbside pickup" and nobody answered the phone. I told him that he needed to knock on the door, and when they finally answered the door, they didn't have any record of our order. I didn't get the cupcakes that I had ordered online, but the cupcakes that we did get were really delicious, and they gave us a little extra for our troubles. I'm just happy they had anything for us considering my son's party started at 2PM that day and I spent $31.00 on cupcakes.
My aunt loves this place, and every time she is in Denver she makes it a point to always go there, so I decided to try them. I admit the cupcakes were really good, but I am not sure I understand why they lost our order. I do realize that mistakes happen, and would be willing to give them another try. If you place an online order, I would call to make sure that they have received it. Also, if you're wondering which cupcake is the most popular with the kiddos, it was red velvet. I should have just got mostly red velvet for the kids, and the German chocolate for my Dad. I personally thought the spice cake...
Read moreHonestly everyone always ranting and raving about this place so I decided to try it. We went in for slices of cake and cake pops and brownies during the visit my son noticed a Jordan or Nike shoe cake and said thats so cool mom can I get that for my birthday and the lady said “ohh honey you could never afford that for your birthday!” Lmaoooo instantly turned off. I would have never bought that cake in a million years your right, my cousin does custom cakes/goodies for all our parties, so no one was offended by any means it’s just odd if your in the business of sales why not try and make that a sale. Say “that cake is x amount” then let us decide if it’s too expensive or not lmao. Even if it was why not promote a product in our price range similar design. Or why not ask me who’s standing next to him looking at that cake with them and say “mom what’s your price range?! “ like dude get over yourself at that point. Anyways as a paying customer I’m helping support this small business right, least be nice and kind to the customers keeping the lights on. Customers are why that place is running so be nice it’s giving mean...
