I could not more highly recommend Clayer & Co - one session and we were completely hooked! I booked a private couples session as a Mothers’ Day surprise for my wife - neither of us had taken a pottery class before, but the owner Claire was extremely responsive to my questions in advance of the session, and instantly put us at ease when we got there. You can tell a gifted teacher when you spend time with one, and Claire is one of those people. She got to know the two of us, expertly and conscientiously led us through the steps, and squeezed a stunning amount of lessons & tips into a limited amount of time. The two hours absolutely flew by! We left with a hug and immediately started googling for potters wheels so we could continue practicing when we got home. My only regret is we don’t live in Savannah and can’t come back every week! That being said, the first thing I’m doing the next time we visit is reserving time at Clayer&Co.

Clair, the studio owner and instructor, absolutely made the class. She was funny, light-hearted, interesting, and an excellent teacher. She made everyone feel completely comfortable working with the clay. Importantly she kept reminding us that it was totally OK if we messed up since we could simply grab another piece of clay and start again. So low stress and fun. We made a little bird and some pots. Return in a few weeks to retrieve our pieces once they've been glazed and fired. We will definitely be returning....

She rescheduled us so that we would have more time to properly create nice items! She's funny, kind, and she even sells handmade soaps. I would 100% recommend this to anyone who wants to try something new, someone who loves all things artsy, or if you've ever wanted to throw pots. She is excellent at teaching. Do it!!! You won't have any regrets, I...
