The Cook Park Boat Ramp is a great place to launch in Kayaks, Stand Up Paddle Boards, and Canoes into the Tualatin River. It is easy to find and has parking right near it as well. It is fairly easy to maneuver your vehicle back down the ramp. This boat ramp is just one of several areas where you can pick up the Tualatin River Water Trail. It offers great fun for the whole family!!!

This is the only boat launch at the park and it is really easy to get in/out. So with that said, when the weather is amazing, parking becomes premium. Either get there early or pray someone is leaving when you arrive. Not sure if there is vehicle w/trailer parking either.

I went to cook park for kayaking with my friend. we observed several Blue herons here and there at the shore of River. Even on weekday morning, we met a lot of kayakers, canoeing folks, SUP board folks...

The Cook Park Boat Launch is an awesome place to launch a kayak, canoe or stand-up paddleboard in the Tualatin River. There is both a dock and a ramp, which makes it easy to get your raft in and out of the water. The current is very gentle on the stretch of the river, while the water is deep enough to prevent getting stuck.

My only complaint is that although there’s plenty of parking at Cook Park overall, there is limited parking by the ramp itself. Be prepared to carry your raft one-fourth of a mile from your car to the ramp. If you go in a group though, it is simple when departing to leave one person with the raft(s) while the other brings the car over to the ramp. You can quickly put your hazard lights on while loading up and then drive away.

Shout out to the city of Tigard for maintaining an awesome park and...

This boat launching spot is a great way to access the Tualatin River from Cook Park, and is easy to launch boats from. There’s a small pavilion nearby for barbecues and other gatherings, and parking is right next to the river.

It becomes a bit busy during nice weather in the summer, so prioritizing your time around early mornings or later at night might help you avoid the crowds. Open from dawn to dusk every day, you won’t find easier access...

Probably the best maintained and most upkept launch spot for kayakers on the Tualatin River! Because of that it is also the most used.. On the other side of the river here you have a golf course and on this side it is a very large and busy park so definitely not the launch to choose if you are looking for a quaint part of the river. You will have to paddle about a mile upwards to get past the 99w bridge where it becomes a quieter and more...
