The Cook Park Boat Launch is an awesome place to launch a kayak, canoe or stand-up paddleboard in the Tualatin River. There is both a dock and a ramp, which makes it easy to get your raft in and out of the water. The current is very gentle on the stretch of the river, while the water is deep enough to prevent getting stuck.
My only complaint is that although there’s plenty of parking at Cook Park overall, there is limited parking by the ramp itself. Be prepared to carry your raft one-fourth of a mile from your car to the ramp. If you go in a group though, it is simple when departing to leave one person with the raft(s) while the other brings the car over to the ramp. You can quickly put your hazard lights on while loading up and then drive away.

You will have to paddle about a mile upwards to get past the 99w bridge where it becomes a quieter and more...
