This is a very well maintained neighborhood off leash dog park and we have had a mix of experiences leaning towards positive here. Pros : lovely large grass area with some shady tree areas and river access. We have met some great dogs and owners! Cons : a few times we have gone and by chance it’s been a group of non social/aggressive dogs. We are very understanding and chill with dogs being dogs rough housing safely, but have struggled with trying to avoid 3+ aggressive dogs at a time when ours are super friendly and just want to play in their happy, social place. We still continue to come back, but have to be on guard and scope the place out upon arriving to be respectful of whatever pups with boundaries are present. Overall, very well kept up and our dogs love to cool down at the water off the path.

The gated dog park isn’t very exciting but it’s a place to take your pooches leash off so there’s that I guess. Per the review from a yr ago, the off leash area was not closed in previously. So glad it is now. But the whole park is very nice for long walks with the fur babies. Lots of distance to cover on paved or nature trails/paths. We saw folks walking jogging and biking during our visit. I only wish there were signs saying how long (what distance) each path is and where it takes you. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. And with the many trees that line each path you’ll have plenty of shade in warmer months.

The Durham Park Off Leash area is a fantastic local gem of a field to allow our well-behaved furry family run to their hearts’ content. It has natural barriers that serve as its perimeter. And a very large gently sloping grass field to play in. It serves the three cities of Durham, Tigard, and Tualatin. So there are multiple options for parking to reach the park. Directly at the main lot of Durham City Park, or at Tualatin Community Park, or at Cook Park. Overall it’s an incredible local park!!!

4.5 Stars.

We love this park for the doggos, huge beautiful space for them to run free. Dog parks without fences are always a positive in my experience because the dogs who don't need a fence to run tend to be more well behaved and not a risk to others. The park is also located far from any busy roads so no need to worry about that. There are also lots of beautiful walking trails to explore when you are all done.

The half a star knock off is because there are zero trash cans to throw away dog poop, its not uncommon to see lazy owners leave there poop bags on benches or on the ground because of this. Normally something like this would warrant a harsher rating, but I personally find it very difficult to rank it any lower because of all the great times we...
