Toccoa Raceway — Attraction in Toccoa

My following observations and opinions come from one visit to this track. This track had a good car count (probably 7o or so) and great fan support! However, the racing is all done at time in. I say this because the track had only one grove ... it was follow the leader all night long! The only chance to see cars side by side was on the first lap or at a restart (except for the 4-banger class). And don't forget your glasses as the track went dry-slick by the first race. Also note that unlike other tracks there are no heat races. Instead, this track chooses to run a lot of classes and only mains to make up a full evening show. In my opinion, if they could find a way to get a second grove (even a partial second groove)and keep it from going dry slick so bad this would be a killer track!!!!!! This may require different clay, and/or a different packing strategy, and/or taking some of the very high banking out in order to be able to pack in the water more...

June 21st 2025. Very poorly organized structure of schedule, entirely too many divisions, bad time management. With a touring series visiting the track, pushing their feature event to staging at 12:20am is unacceptable.

Racing surface provided decent racing although was rather abusive on tires, very dusty early in the night.

They say “streaming is killing racing” but when I was watching streams in the pits of feature events from tracks two time zones away, tracks have got to do better to compete with streams if they want to collect disposable...

It was horrible starting at the fact over 3/4 of the drivers no matter what class they were in couldn't drive the cars they have spent so much money on, all the way down to the police being all over the place and their not being enough seating. You should only sell enough tickets for what seats you have and if you wanted to come in anyway knowing you were going to have to stand the price should be discounted. I've been to almost every dirt track between GA, TN, NC and SC and Toccoa was by far the worst race track experience...
