This place looks fantastic.. the interior décor (especially the bar) is absolutely high end. The owner has a beautifully designed Mexican restaurant… It is absolutely ashame that is where it ended. We were the second occupied table in the establishment (so it was not full or staff overburdened). We ordered the following: appetizer - cheese dip with jalapenos… wife had cheese quesadillas with steak and chicken, daughter had cheese quesadillas, and I had 2 chicken burritos with rice. Chips and salsa arrived right away and we asked again about the cheese dip… “coming right up”. 15 mins later I signaled our waitress and she came over and said, “your order will be out soon”. I said that is fine but we never got our dip so just please tell the kitchen to take the cheese dip off our order… 5 mins later she comes back to the table with the cheese dip apologizing saying that the dip was in the refrigerator and they had to heat it up. She said sorry and that that there was no charge… No sooner than she had sat down the dip, my wife and daughters dinner arrived… So, I ate chips and cheese dip.. first bite revealed they had not added the jalapenos to the dip (no big deal – it was free right) … My wife’s quesadilla (cheese / steak / chicken) was missing the cheese… “take the cheese dip off our order” must have been relayed as “hold the cheese off the quesadilla”… again no big deal she just poured the “free” cheese dip onto her quesadilla… BUT still no dinner for me yet… Wife and daughter are almost done eating and out comes my order and she sets it down in front of me and I say “these are two ground beef burritos”…. And she say’s “yes, sir”… I respond with “I ordered 2 chicken burritos”… She looks at her ticket and says “Well I wrote down chicken”… I told her just cancel my order and I will get something up on the way home… she said, “I can have them make you two chicken burritos”… I responded with “please don’t do that, my wife and daughter are done eating and I am not going to have them sit around and watch me eat, please bring our check we are done here”. She stays gone and guess what… 10 mins later she comes out of the kitchen with 2 chicken burritos on a hot plate and sits it down in front of me…. I look at her and say, “I told you not to do that – I was not going to make my family wait and watch me eat- I told you I wanted to leave and asked you to bring me my check… Instead you made me wait 10 extra mins and did what I asked you kindly not to… and after all this I still don’t have my check…
She responded by yanking up the plate… storming off (pist)… came back and slammed the check down on the table…. HERE IS THE BEST PART… her order ticket was stapled to the register total... you guessed it.. my burritos were listed as “Beef”… Sad part is the waitress did not understand why we had an issue she thought we were the problem.
Cheese dip was forgotten Cheese dip was wrong when it got there Wife’s Cheese / steak /chicken quesadilla was missing the cheese My order came when everyone else was almost done eating My order was wrong when it finally arrived I asked for my bill and got attitude I hope the owner of the restaurant reads this… the atmosphere of this place is top notch but you need to correct the blunders and attitudes… most likley the two wattresses that were there on Sunday...
Read moreWon't eat there ever again! Charging more than menu price. Ordered a full size adult meal ($14.25) and a kids meal ($5.50) along with unsweetened tea ($2.50). Waiter said nothing about an upcharge, and then surprise, charged me $6.50 for the kid's meal, which was a burnt cheese quesadilla and cold rice. If I would have ordered to go, would they have upcharged that? No tip was given because an embarrassing argument ensued at the register when I questioned why the menu read $5.50. The cashier stated the menu reads for 12 and under when I questioned her about the price and told her nothing was ever mentioned. However, I ordered a full price adult meal with full size drink. This restaurant used to receive $75-$100 from me every week. My kids and I won't be visiting ever again and I guess the argument was worth his $10 tip being removed. Last time I was here, they charged me a couple of dollars for the lemon for my unsweetened tea. Being desperate for money and overcharging good regular customers gets you no business and no repeat customers. In this impoverished town, you need all the good customers you can get. Hope losing a long-time customer was worth the $1.07. Go outside of Toccoa to eat; Seneca, Anderson, and Gainesville have a lot better restaurants that don't steal...
Read moreI've been here twice...once with a friend and the cashier had to ask us the price as we couldn't read the ticket writing. Food was ok on this visit..so I decided to give it another chance. The sign says "Wait to be seated" at front entrance, so I waited 10 minutes and the cashier was busy, but she rang the bell several times and still no one came to seat me..so another 10 minutes pass by when cashier comes back to seat me. I'm a patient person but still one person to take money and try to seat people? I ordered the Fajita taco salad, it was ok but hardly any meat except shrimp and onions then a lot of liquid on bottom. My waiter did ensure that I had water refilled so I applaud him. The lady who seated me was nice, but she was more interested in talking about the customers who were not happy with their service to other patrons there. Needless to say, I was not happy and will find another better Mexican restaurant in the area that will treat me and other customers respectfully and timely...
