This is a beautiful Metropark my husband and I enjoy exploring. My one complaint would be that the trails could be marked more effectively. In many instances a trail will fork off in 2 different directions, as you'd expect. But at those forks, they frequently do not specify which direction you should go to remain on that particular trail, and so you end up on a completely different trail than the one you chose and originally started on. But as far as the beauty of the trails, they're top notch. You wind through a beautiful forest preserve of our native trees and other vegetation, with wildflowers in the meadow areas. It's great for encounters with birds, deer and other native wildlife. The restrooms have always been impeccably maintained when I've been there. It has several very nice playgrounds for children as well as picnic areas with grills and a facility available for rental. I'm thankful Toledoans have access to this gorgeous...

We were on a bit of a time constraint, but still wanted to try this park out. It was nice! Lots of geese but they stayed away. We visited on a muddy day so we didn't get too close to the creek, but the water level was pretty low. they have bathrooms at the entrance by the playground. They have trash and recycling throughout the park to keep the place clean, and it was! They have benches, overlooks, water fountains with pet water fountains. Pets are welcomed leashed. There is a cute picnic pergola area by the parking lot. I can't wait to try the flood plain trail out, which goes into the little peninsula in the river. And I'm excited to try out the meadow trail loop. They also have a little area with pull up bars and step up station. Cute and...
