Snappers Seafood & Chicken — Restaurant in Toledo

My rating is just for the food. It tastes like somebody's grandmother is in the kitchen cooking it old school-delicous! Could I understand what the workers said on the drive-thru speaker through their thick accents? No. But they were polite and accommodating with their recommendations. Was it a speedy drive-thru? No. There was a line-up of cars wrapped around the building at 10 pm on a Saturday night and I waited 15 minutes before getting to the drive-thru to finish my order because we did not understand each other at the speaker. I had to wait an additional 10 minutes at the window while they cooked it. Was I happy when I finally drove home 10 minutes later and another 15 minutes to get settled, and it was still piping hot, crunchy, and seasoned perfectly? Yessir I was! I tried the catfish, chicken wings, shrimp, and fries. You can't go wrong with any of them, and if you go, definitely ask for the lemon pepper seasoning! Next time, I'll remember...

Went here at 11:30 a.m. and ordered their chicken wing and shrimp combo and when I got my order and attempted to eat, the chicken and shrimp tasted as if it was old food from the previous day that was already cooked but wasn’t sold so it was reheated for my order. The taste wasn’t fresh at all. Lemonade I ordered tasted like straight sugar water. Called in to complain about my order and was immediately confronted with rude person on the phone who dared me to call the health department claiming that they “weren’t scared” lol. Sad thing about it is usually their food is fresh and good tasting but this one-off experience has definitely left a bad impression leaving me wary of patronizing this business again since whoever it was who answered the phone decided it was a great idea to be rude to a customer because I complained about my order. The cook has a real issue. He do not know how to fry fish. There’s no way I order catfish fried heart and the fry part fall off of the Fish as I begin to pull apart, he gave me a really hard time when I came in the store because of the fish was not fried as I ordered, then gave me a small very very small portion of fries with two big old pieces of fish. I don’t understand why would you serve such a small portion of fries and then have the nerve to go back-and-forth with me about the way the food was cooked when I specifically asked for my fish to be fry hard this place is disgusting. He had one worker that’s working the register answering for calls serving the window and the walk-ins they charge me a dollar extra for my 10 wings and fries then another dollar fee for using their tap to pay services.
