I’m a huge fan of escape rooms mainly because they’re fun and challenging, and that feeling of accomplishment is always a great boost. I travel for work and sometimes I’m traveling alone, which on a day off can get, well, lonely. I decided to call this location to see if they would let a single person do a room and they welcomed me happily. I decided to do the Boardwalk room and I had SO MUCH FUN. This room was very physical and hands on and it definitely crushed my loneliness and boredom! Josh was a great game master and helped me out fast and efficiently as to not waste any of my countdown. Although I didn’t make it out, he told me I did really well for one person, and some groups hadn’t gotten to where I made it. He told me I should try Sorcerers chamber because it would be slightly easier and less physical and more logic. I knew I had to come back. The next day before I left the area, I came back and had another amazing time. This time I had Nick as a game master and he was also great! Clues were clever, helpful and fast both days. I even made it out alone! I loved the theme and had the best time. Both rooms were phenomenal, and although I’ve done maybe 15 rooms so far, this place stood out as one of the best. I also learned that they are original and the owners make them all. The attention to detail, like the clock placements really set them apart. They work them into the room and make it fully immersive, even though they didn’t “have to.” Both rooms had a perfect flow to the puzzles. Quality, top notch work. I’m hoping I come back to the area for work soon to try the Christmas...
Read moreFirst escape room I've been to but I absolutely loved the experience.
We were a group of six. All scenes are for up to eight people. You take a chance on getting someone else added in your group if less than eight or you can pay extra so you get a private room. We took the chance and nobody else joined us. Scenes are all timed for one hour and can be played in three flavors. Story, which you get unlimited hints. Competitive where you only get five hints, or competitive-lite where you get five but if you get really stuck they''ll give you another one or two. We went competitive and finished the scene in around 53 minutes and used all five but really could have done with just four as we hinted on the same issue twice because we were just stupid. LOL.
Staff was super nice. Went through a couple of minutes beforehand with us about rules and then a brief intro to the scene. The room for our scene was realistically decorated for the story and you really had to work for some of the answers to get the key or combination or secret to open the next bit. Teamwork is a must. Scene moderator watches and listens the entire time to check your progress and when we asked for hints, they were just cryptic enough not to be simple, but easy enough to figure out and be useful.
They had three scenes you could choose from and they retire them after a while and create new ones.
Looking forward to our next escape...
Read moreDon’t wonder if this is a great time or challenging because I can promise, both are a solid yes! At first you do not know what to expect. A small escape room in a plaza next to a bar (great bar btw) how good could it be? Let’s just say, better than you thought. My wife and I decided to one our date night out solving puzzles and we couldn’t have been happier. The staff was nice upon arrival and you could hear some others in rooms having a good time. The employee that helped us was patient and thorough in his explanation of the game and rules. The room itself was at first, very challenging. Once you understand the game, it becomes a little easier so don’t be afraid to ask for a clue early on! The wife and I were on the final task and couldn’t pull it off on time. Nevertheless, the functionality of the challenges makes the experience al worth while. I recommend couples challenge themselves to escape the rooms together. We grabbed some food next door and talked about the experience which made for a very fun and fore filling date night. Don’t wait and solve your...
