Thank you Ms. Ali! I visited Pacific Sales in Torrance initially by appointment. I entered the store and was greeted by a person at the door and was told the salesperson I was scheduled to meet with was finishing up with another customer and would be with me shortly. No problem.. however I soon was made to feel like this person was clearly not interested in meeting with me or helping me.... I roamed the store looking at all the products and after about 30 mins, I was finally approached. During this whole time I was roaming the store, this salesperson was just sitting at their computer. I even approached him and he brushed me aside, stating he would be with me when he finished what he was doing(mind you, I wasn't a walk-in - I had an appointment!!).. I allowed this situation to continue just to see where I would land with this person, and also did not want to leave without a quote for my anticipated purchases. So, at this end of this, I got my quote and I was out of this place to get another quote, a price match, or something, anything from another store far far away .. somebody, anybody but Pacific Sales in Torrance.
As I was walking out, I turned around and saw another salesperson that appeared busy, but for a quick question.. I approached her. I noticed by her nametag, her name is Ali. Ali was immediately responsive and answered my question, then went over and beyond, providing me with some additional important information. I said to myself "ok.. well, let me see what will happen if I continue to interrupt her". I stepped away a few times and quickly returned with some additional questions. Each time I did this, she returned to her original friendly demeanor. Also on each occasion she took the time to stop, yes...I mean she actually stopped what she was doing, smiled, and showed genuine interest in helping me. Ali researched my question and provided me with the information I needed to make an informed decision. She even received a call from another employee while she was helping me and she quickly let them know she was assisting a customer.. (me :)), and then immediately returned to answering my question!!! Ali had soon turned this entire situation around for me, saving me a lot of time, money, and energy. At the end of this, I felt I had enough information to confidently share with my wife (an attorney, who will question me on every detail of every item) and I was more than happy to introduce her to Ali the next day. As a result, my wife and I were able to quickly complete the sale for all the new kitchen appliances and more with our one visit...

   Read moreMy family and purchased a GE range in July 2019. This was our second model unit, as the first GE range had to be removed from our home due to a potential natural gas malfunction. The second unit is also malfunctioning, on this occasion producing a toxic burning odor, despite use of the oven/range over approximately four months. We have had the Best Buy Geek Squad visit our home to evaluate the range. On both occasions the same technician, whose name is Hopeton, has told me that the smell is "normal," and will dissipate with time. Unfortunately, as noted above, we've owned and routinely used the range for over four months, with no change to the potency and/or presence of the odor. In the meantime, my wife has developed dizziness with use, and I develop headaches and nausea with use. We have three children in our home, all of whom are exposed to the toxic oder. Of note, we have followed all instructions regarding installation, proper "burn-in" of the oven, self-cleaning cycling, etc. Despite all of these measures, the issue persists. At this point, Hopeton has asked that we run the vent fan with use, and the odor will eventually go away. My concern is that four months have passed without any improvement. My wife and I are physicians -- we are aware of the impact that toxic odors such as burning plastic, curing of adhesives, etc., may have on susceptible individuals, particularly children. We have reached out to Pacific Sales, the subsidiary of Best Buy who sold us these ranges. I spoke with a salesman who noted a manager will call us back the same day. That was one week ago, and still no response. This is unacceptable. All we are asking for is the opportunity to remove this unit and to buy a replacement -- most definitely a different brand.    Read moreAs we embarked on renovation of our new home, we knew one thing that would be important in bringing the kitchen/great room together was going to be our appliances. As expected, my wife had some specific opinions about the aesthetic, but for the most part the kitchen is my domain for cooking and cleaning. Balancing quality with cost effective was going to be the challenge, and for me it started with whether after years of working on a Wolf range I could find something less expensive. The answer ended up being no. Linwood was our sales rep at Pacific Sales in Torrance, and his calm, confident, nurturing and honest nature made us feel we were in great hands. He steered us in all the right directions, and we've loved every appliance we've purchased. The range, to start, he shared knowledgable insight into everything from cooking quality to ease of clean-up. At the end of the day, the comparable cost of the Wolf to other options, when you're getting so many other simple benefits, it was a no-brainer. The big challenge was on things such as the vented range hood, which I know nothing about. But after sharing how our last hood had melted components, he steered us to the Zephyr with the BTU requirements we needed. From there, all the other appliances fell in line, with a Zephyr wine fridge that doesn't make a sound, to the under counter microwave drawer from sharp, which makes life easier and saves my back from leaning over constantly. A BIG THANK YOU again to Linwood for his insightful guidance, friendly nature, and constant follow-up and customer service even after things were ordered, in anticipation of installation, and a challenging juggling of installation dates. We appreciated this and it's why we will continue to be customers of Pacific Sales...
