When i first went in, it’s beautiful. I was amazed, i’ve never been to a cat house where cats are roaming freely and being loved by everyone. The cats are lovely, cute and adorable. I wish i can take them all! I specifically wanted a ginger kitten and that’s why we stopped by here randomly.
Now when it comes to adopting it’s a mess! or a lot hesitation with favorites.
At first, my fiancé and i wanted to take 2 tabby kittens we wanted at first then as time went by we realized we weren’t as attached to them like others were, so we decided not to take them.
My mother wanted a cat name christopher. We were told at first he is loving, playful etc. My brother and my mother got attached to christopher off the bat! We spoke with kelly about adoption and she gave us all the options but when we were ready for Pick up with our crate in the car.. She even took the adopted photo! Had us ready and waiting.. She told us she can’t find his paperwork? To come back the next day or that she will reach out to one of us about his paperwork. Few days passes, She posts him online “open for adoption “ but we were waiting on Kelly finding this paperwork for him. Then We were really disappointed when she texted us he isn’t going to be okay with other cats because of an altercation that happened in the Cat House.
I even applied for volunteering since i am a SAHM, she said i was accepted but i texted her on the day she asked if i was free and never heard back.
The volunteers are nice and sweet but some of them you’ll find them playing with the cats...
Read moreI have been volunteering at the cat house and can attest to the love and care these cats get by the volunteers and guests that come. Since opening, we have had many successful adoptions from loving and caring families. The cat house offers a home environment for rescues to adapt to before they’re forever homes. You are welcome to lounge, work on your laptop, etc!
Responding to a comment below about adoptions- this individual applied for three cats and we were ecstatic about them finding a home! When the time came for them to be picked up we did not hear back from them. Coincidentally, we saw them at an animal shelter looking for kittens while we were picking up one of our cats from getting spayed. This was concerning to us since they were supposed to be picking up the cats from us and did not say they no longer wanted to adopt our kittens. This gave red flags to us and we decided it was not a good fit.
The adopter even mentioned she was bad at replying/texting. For the sake of our animals we do not mark them as adopted until they are picked up from our adoption center. They seemed like very nice people but our adoption process did not work for them which is ok- however,It’s always disappointing to see someone write a negative review of a non profit organization. Wish them all the luck...
Read moreI had a wonderful experience at the cat house during their open house hours! There were about 14 cats there when I visited and I was so amazed at the beautiful space that the owner and her volunteers had created for the cats to flourish. The owner Kelly and her volunteers were beyond welcoming as well. I was there to witness someone come in looking to be connected with the perfect cat for her lifestyle and living situation. One of the volunteers had taken her time to assist her and I was so happy to see on Instagram a few days later that the cat was going home with her!! My friends had asked to visit on off hours and the cat house was extremely accommodating, showing they truly care about the cats and finding them the perfect homes! This has been such an amazing addition to our...
