Read moreI found this charming place on a whim after googling halal restaurants in the area I was traveling to. Based on the excellent reviews, I decided to stop in for Iftar as I was fasting. There were many delicious options to choose from and I opted for the bun kabab with masala fries and doodh patti chai. After ordering, Sara, the owner, came out to speak to me. When she found out I hadn’t broken my fast yet, she went to the back and came out with dates for me to break my fast. During my meal, a daughter came in with her mother - she enjoyed the samosa chaat the first time she came, and decided to come back with her mother. Sara’s thoughtful gesture extended further when I went to pay for my meal (I had ordered some more bun kababs to go as well as the gulaabo shake), and she didn’t charge me for the meal I had at the restaurant. Her intent to feed a fasting person truly touched my heart. We spoke some more and I came to find out the restaurant is about a year old. I wished her an abundance of Barakah and blessings for her endeavors. As we were talking, she was getting ready to close down. However, behind me, two families came in. Instead of turning them away, she welcomed and accommodated them. This is truly a gem if ever I found one. The ambiance, tasty food and friendly service truly made it a...
Read moreThis place has so much potential but just isn’t it. Biggest disappointment in 2024. Was on my list for months now and finally got to go. There were 2 ladies there and one sat with her sunglasses on and just walked in and out the store every 5 mins. Anywho on to review Food was 6/10 on average for everything. Great portion to price, but doesn’t hit. Omelette was bland 5/10 even the tater tots weren’t seasoned. The egg paratha was 6/10, the paratha was so rubbery and filled with ghee (greasy) Only thing i would definitely recommend is the blueberry compote pancakes, very fluffy, and absolutely delicious 8.5/10 for sure the best thing I’ve had out of the 3 things. This place looks like a dine in restaurant but they treat it like a fast food joint. You sit down and they make you go up to place your order and then go up to grab your food after it’s ready. Very strange. And the ambiance as a whole was nice but they definitely should work on it. They used old doors as tables, and even though I’m 6ft tall they have things dangling all around the store and you could be 3ft tall and you’d still walk into it and possibly get tangled. Way too much going on. Definitely wouldn’t comeback unless I’m ordering the...
