Lake Fire Winery — Attraction in Town of Baileys Harbor

Lake Fire Winery was one that was recommended to us from the last Winery we were at. It's a newer Winery in the area in the last few years. It was not on the Wisconsin winery brochure that we had. All of the wines that we had tasted there were wines that I would consider drinking. The one that stood out for me was the one that was called hot pink mess. It was a sweet wine. We sat out side near the lake shore. It was windy out so we kind of setback off of the shore where was that as windy. Outside they had some very nice Landscaping and some plants. They had a few outside games like a giant Connect Four Ginga we think and the ring and hook game. Shortly after we went outside there was a younger couple that was going to play the hook and ring game and they were unable to get even one ring on the hook. Fast forward to 20 minutes later another couple came with her young kids that started to play the ring game and the youngest one was getting the ring flipped up behind the board and the would climb up behind the board to get the ring unhooked for some reason that struck me as quite entertaining. We were so excited to stop in and support this small business. There was one couple already served, another couple on their way out and us (2pm Mon Sept 18). The staff person was helping the couple on their way out with dining recommendations. After a solid 5 minutes of places to eat the staff person still didn’t even acknowledge us (we were standing within a few feet and already made our wine selection). At one point when we thought the staff member was done, they continued on with additional recommendations and still did not acknowledge us. Even a “I’ll be right with you” would...

Finally wandered in this summer, got a wine flight. It’s really cute on the inside, much smaller. It has some seating inside and a while outside section you can sit by the lake. Lots of yard games too, it’s a neat spot. The wine wasn’t my favorite, but maybe I just got the wrong kinds 🤣🙃 they had a lot of options as well as a few beers.
