Used to love going here, then this happened. Astonishingly bad experience. What happened to at least pretending to care about your customers? Visited for lunch Labor Day weekend on Saturday at about 12:30. Server seemed annoyed with gluten-intolerant guest asking questions about food offerings. Server begrudgingly took our order and plopped our drinks down, while also spilling beer on me without so much as a ‘sorry about that.’ The food then took over an hour, during which time server did not visit the table once to refresh beverages or just to let us know when our food might come. 3 adults, we all had beverages, yet not a single visit from our server. Food finally came after we asked if it was still coming. Decent food but the poor service tainted the meal and experience. When asked why it took so long, server lied and said it only took a half hour. We asked for the manager since server wasn’t being honest. Manager then came to our table and was confrontational and defensive, did not apologize for the wait/inattentive service while instead making excuses about how busy it was (we watched other tables come and go while we were sitting there, the idea that it being too busy prevented our server from checking on our table one single time over the course of an hour is laughable) and suggesting we mistreated the server. The server wasn’t present enough to be mistreated. After all that I posted a review and two weirdos called John Moeller and Andi Salm also write reviews of My Review! As if what I experienced didn’t actually happen. How Bizarre! A shame because we’ve been patronizing and enjoying Cornerstone for over a decade. Will not be back, would...
Read moreWe stopped by this place around lunchtime on December 31st. Our daughter had a burger and then wanted to walk over to the playground, so my husband and I had some drinks and shared an appetizer while she played. It was pretty busy, but the lady who served us was wonderful, I wish I remembered her name. She was kind and attentive and we are not at all demanding. The burger was good and our appetizer was hot and a very good size. Had this been our only visit I would’ve given this place 6 stars. But we decided to come back the following night for a proper dinner. Totally different experience-our daughter’s dinner was cold, I ordered chicken, which was overly greasy and salty and my husband ordered pizza, which would have been good if it wasn’t for the large amount of cheese on it. But we weren’t as disappointed in the food as we were with the service. Lindsey was our server (she didn’t introduce herself, that’s the name that was printed on the receipt). She brought our drinks and food and we never saw her after, until she brought the check (not upon our request). Never asked how the food was, if we needed any drinks or anything, never brought a napkin or bussed an empty dish. Her whole demeanor was rude and unfriendly. And it wasn’t even busy, just a few tables in the whole restaurant. She seemed like she had somewhere more important to be, because instead of waiting on her tables, she was busy with her closing duties (one hour before closing time). So yeah, I wish we hadn’t returned, we wouldn’t have waisted our money and would have kept the nice memory from our first visit. Again, I apologize to our December 31st server for not remembering her...
