The Rift Games — Attraction in Town of Cortlandt

I’m writing on behalf of this guy, Eurie, or whatever his name is. Eurie works at this store, and he’s incredibly disrespectful. He’ll kick you out of the store like he did to me, and he’ll lowball you for your games, too. Trade in a bunch of stuff that’s worth $500, and he’ll give you the lowest possible price, like penny’s or like 100$ at most so you lose hundreds of dollars. I’ve seen him rip my friend off for his stuff too. Eurie is the biggest scammer He treats customers terribly and harassed me. He also has a big attitude.

I’d recommend going to Mystery Vault instead of this guy. At least at Mystery Vault, you’ll get your money’s worth, and you won’t be treated so poorly like Eurie does if you go to mystery vault Peter won’t rip you off like eurie will at the Rift. The guys at the Rift are massive scammers. Go somewhere else instead of this place. He shouldn’t be allowed to work there either

Any comment Eurie makes on this post, ignore it. He’s trying to not look bad but this is the truth most likely because of how he treated me. This place gets 0 stars. They overprice everything and rip you off for your stuff. If you call them, they won’t even give you a price. They’ll just tell you to bring it in with a smart remark like, “Who does that? Why would I just bring stuff in just for them to waste my time for a lowballed price?”

Go to Mystery Vault. He will treat you like the world does. They have awesome deals at Mystery Vault too, way better than this Eurie dude does. He will rob you of your money. This store is very unwelcoming, and the customer service is terrible. There’s also a guy in there with braids who gives smart remarks as well. Go somewhere else the rift doesn’t deserve your hard earned money at all.

This is only a review for the games side of their store I can’t speak for what they do for the community. I had called to trade a GameCube. Wasn’t looking for anything crazy just wanted to change models and I had a GameCube that ran nice and was in good condition. Only difference was the year they were made and what video ports are on them. Usually retail for around the same price. They had made it seem like a trade in would be cool so I drove over and when I got there the entire vibe of the store was a bit weird the guy at the front was on his phone which doesn’t bother me but his attitude wasn’t very welcoming. I wanted to see if I could get a fair price for a GameCube trade which again seemed completely reasonable but when I took out my stuff he offered me $30 for my GameCube and tried to sell me his for $130. When I asked him about doing a swap and giving the store some extra money he just laughed at me and told me I would make extra work for him because he had “cleaned” this GameCube which looked filthy by the way. As others have noted, customer service is terrible. Bought a 50-pack of ultra-thick Comics Pro Line backing boards due to great price. Received product fast (within days). However, an employee lazily used bubble on one side only, cramming board corners against a tight-fitting box, causing corner dents as expected during transit (which defeats the purpose of such boards protecting the entirety of a bagged comic's spine). Additionally, shrinkwrap was torn, allowing open air to oxidate with calcium carbonate buffer (thus negating it's efficacy at neutralizing acids from comic paper off-gassing). When both these issues were brought up in their Discord chat room, the store defended the torn condition as a common manufacturer's defect, while outright ignoring the issue of poor packing damaging corners. I then replied, it is false advertising then, to STILL ship the product unsealed as if a new condition item, and doing so will likely incur chargebacks if such a practice persists.
